I placed an online order today, and the ordering process itself was easy enough. Unfortunately, everything after that was disappointing. When I went inside to pay and pick up my order, the cashier acted like she absolutely did not want to be there. I understand everyone has bad days, but customer service still matters — especially when people are choosing to spend their money at your business. When I got home, I opened my fajita bowl and was honestly shocked. For $15, I received what looked like a half-filled bowl with rice and fajita meat. No tortillas, no cheese, no vegetables, no beans — just an incomplete, underwhelming bowl that looked nothing like something worth the price. I’m not posting this to be petty. I’m posting because this is the kind of experience that makes customers not want to come back. Between the poor service and the missing items, this order was absolutely not acceptable. I would hope the owner or manager sees this and takes a look at what is being sent out to customers, because this should not be the standard.

Had an amazing experience at Johnny Tamales! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a family night out or dinner with friends. The staff was friendly and attentive, and our food came out hot and flavorful. The chips and salsa were a great start, and the fajitas and Balita plate we ordered were cooked perfectly with bold Tex-Mex flavors. This place has quickly become one of our go-to spots for delicious Mexican cuisine.

I had a great experience at this Tex-Mex restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the meat—it was tender, flavorful, and clearly high quality. What impressed me even more was how thoughtful and careful the staff were about halal options. They offer halal meat, and when I ordered mexican rice, they kindly warned me that it was not halal. I really appreciated their honesty and attention to detail. It’s rare to find a place that is both this respectful about dietary concerns and this good in terms of flavor. Easily the best Tex-Mex I’ve had in the West and Southwest Houston area. Highly recommended!

came here on a weekday for friends dinner and absolutely loved it! The ambiance has a very authentic and overall clean feel. And the food was undoubtedly delicious, a huge plus that halal options are offered! Tried the mixed fajitas, fajita nachos, and enchiladas. The portions were perfect as well.

I saw this place was recently built in my city. I had to give it a try. Started with the tortilla chips which came with the Red & green sauce. I tried the chicken enchiladas with the cilantro rice 1st. Very well seasoned and cheesy. My favorite dish was the combination fajitas nachos. This came with chicken & beef fajitas. It was clean,quiet and welcoming. I will definitely be back.
