I ordered the oxtail plate with rice and peas and steamed cabbage. They give you a healthy portion that will definitely fill you up. The meat was tasteful and tender with their marinade. I also ordered the beef patties witch were soft and flaky as they should be. Would highly recommend. Will be going back to try their oxtail chessesteak. Be forewarned that their is a bit of a wait time before getting your food so its recommended that you place your order ahead of of time.

I saw an ad on Facebook for the oxtail cheesecake, but they were sold out when I arrived. I ordered the oxtail egg rolls, an oxtail plate, and an Acres Shakers juice instead. The wait was long, but the staff was amazing with great customer service. The food is soooo good and definitely worth the long wait. I would definitely come back, just much earlier in the day.

🤭😋I’ve finally took advantage of the opportunity to pay this establishment a nice visit. Boiiii, I was in for a treat! Ordered: Nuff Nuff Food Plate, with Jerk Chicken,Fried Chicken,Plantains, and Curry Veggies.❤️‍🔥😮‍💨💨 *Usually, I don’t do before/after pics. Had to for this review so y’all could see how well I deboned the flavorful meat. Side sauces were on point too.✅😉

Golden Eye

Having to wait 50-minutes for your food and it arrives cold - diabolical! That said, it was A good value for the portion sizes. And enjoyed the island vibe ambience. Houston isn’t really known for amazing Jamaican cuisine. I would say this place is among the better ones.

Wow, I was incredibly blown away by both the food and ALL the friendly service. Every employee I encountered had a smile on their face and were all eager to help despite there being a 30 min wait and it being so hot. Now plus discuss the food. Is it pricy? Yes, however it’s 100% worth it and we have no regrets. We ordered the oxtail cheesesteak with Mac n cheese, a jerked chicken place with cabbage and Mac n cheese, eggrolls and a meat pie. Honestly, I can’t even tell you what the best thing was because they were all absolutely phenomenal. They did not have any beef meat pie so we got chicken and now I’m convinced the chicken is my favorite. The oxtail cheesesteak sandwich was top-tier oxtails are perfectly seasoned. It was juicy. The cheese was melted, and I guarantee the mac & cheese is better than your mom‘s We drove from the southwest side of Houston to try this and yes, it was a drive but yes, we will be doing it again.
