Delicious! Everything we had was fresh, fast, and good. The bok choy was the only thing that was underwhelming, and it wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t amazing as everything else. The avocado smoothie and avocado coffee were absolutely fire. Speaking of fire, a server that wasn’t even over our section rolled up to our table after overhearing a discussion we were having about spice. This is not Thai food, but we were talking about a funny experience I had ordering Thai hot, so she rolled up with a little bowl of something that looked kinda like fresh sambal olek. It was legit fire, and so good! The server’s name was Robin. So neat that she was that attentive to listen and come and engage with our table like that. I got two little cups to go. I’d be back for sure.

Huynh Restaurant consistently delivers great food and great service, which is why it’s always a standout when we’re in Houston. Everything we’ve had has been flavorful and well prepared, and the experience feels personal in the best way. One thing that really sets this place apart is that the owner actively walks the floor, checking in with guests and offering thoughtful menu suggestions. That level of involvement shows in both the quality of the food and the overall experience. They’re also very strong when it comes to gluten-free options. The staff is knowledgeable, comfortable answering questions, and clearly understands how to guide diners with dietary needs. That confidence makes dining here easy and enjoyable. Huynh is a place we trust and one I’m always happy to recommend.

Ordered take out which was very efficient. Order was ready sooner than promised during later part of lunch. Had no problems getting parking. Standout was the bahn cuon (fresh rice paper) with the grilled pork. I would get two of those next time although I want to try the combination order. The sauce was good, texture was perfect and the bed of veggies was fresh. Also ordered two orders of the spring rolls with only shrimp. They were fine / fresh and the sauce was pretty good but didn't blow me away. Also had a grilled pork with broken rice dish which was good although the pork was a little fattier than what I usually experience. If you're in downtown this is a good spot. Deducted a star because price was pretty expensive - maybe picking up using DoorDash inflated the price? Spring rolls were $6.95 for order of 2. Banh Cuon $17.95 and broken rice with pork $17.95. Definitely would return for the fresh rice paper and to try more items if I'm nearby.

The food over at Huyhn Restaurant was very delicious. The ambiance and atmosphere was amazing. Staff was great and friendly. Will comeback in the future. Very convenient nearby the George R. Brown Convention Center , Daikin Park, and Dynamo Stadium.

Freaking love this place! I was in town for a convention with a friend who is Vietnamese and wanted to take me out. This place is SO GOOD we came back the next day for more. The rice and noodle dishes are amazing, but the coconut and avocado coffee drinks are to die for. In the span of 2 meals we were served and welcomed by the whole family that works here. We were given personal recommendations based on what we liked and they challenged me to try new things, which I am glad I did. 5 stars from me!
