Hughie's is an unexpected little gem on the north side of Houston. I drove an hour from Richmond to try this place out and they did not disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised by their selection of food. While the menu is not overly extensive, it is also not complicated. They offer several variations of their dishes, which was actually really refreshing. I could get shaking beef as a vermicelli bowl, steamed rice, fried rice or as a kale salad. I thought that was rather unique. We opted for the fried rice and it was a great choice. The meat was tender and medium rare. We also enjoyed the egg rolls and calamari for appetizers. For dessert we had the Vietnamese Coffee Tiramisu, which was good but a little on the dry side. Their Vietnamese Coffee and Thai Tea were nice drinks as well. They also have pickle ball courts for the kids and adults, and a nice patio with games. We will certainly be back and enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was top notch. We were well taken care of and never felt rushed.

Love this place!! The food and atmosphere are great! My favorite is anything with the shaking beef. This time i ordered the vermicelli bowl with the shaking beef. The filet mignon cubes are perfectly cooked and seasoned. They have a variety of beers on tap as well. The burger is a must try. So delicious!! I come here at least once a month. You won't be disappointed with anything on the menu!! The food is prepared to order, always fresh and flavorful.

We have been going to Hughies on 18th street because we obviously love the food and the fascinating beer selection. Their new location in Garden Oaks has all pf the above PLUS an incredible patio! Considering we have a very active toddler this will be our to go place from now on. Lots of turfed areas for the kids to run/play and they also have pickleball courts (impressive ha?!).

This is the third Hughie's location I've tried and I enjoy this location the most. The food is always great. The service is on point, very attentive, the quality is there for the price you pay. This location has a great side patio with a green area that has games and mists for the kids not to over heat. 10/10 will be back for my 4th visit here shortly.

Cute place lot of booths and a huge outdoor patio it's great to bring a large group and kids. Their draft selection is huge and has a lot of local brews as well as flavors i haven't seen somewhere else. Their food was very underwhelming with taste. I had to add multiple sauces available on the table to finish my meal. I got the sauteed beef vermicelli bowl with an egg. My friend got the Hughies burger. The food was beautifully plated but once we started eating it was lacking flavor. The portion and prices were fair i will say. The staff was friendly and even as they were a bit busy they checked up on us multiple times. I will come again and try a different day as I was excited to try this place out. They have a decent size parking lot available with handicap parking and tables both indoor and outdoor.
