4 years at this apartment complex & I must say, it was overall a pleasant time. I have read other reviews of longtime residents and mine will be based on my experience alone. I will break it down by pros & cons. The good: -It is mostly peaceful here. People don't make a ton of unnecessary noise. I regularly saw families out on walks, people strolling with their dogs, & generally spending their time outside when the weather allowed. -My apartment was one of the unrenovated ones. The pricing only increased by about 20-30 USD per lease term. It is definitely an old property, but had minimal quality of life issues. The AC & heating always worked perfectly & maintenance was pretty responsive to requests. The maintenance men were always very nice & considerate. -I rarely had issues with parking. -I never had any mail/packages stolen -- I even accidentally left my wallet in my car overnight & it miraculously wasn't snatched. I understand that I was probably lucky in this regard & crime can happen anywhere at any time. -Straightforward billing procedures with user friendly portal. -Able to open gate thru app instead of code or key fob. The bad: -Carpet beetles come out during certain times of the year & pest control isn't super consistent. -Community issues were common. People always let their dogs poop around the place (including our front lawns) & don't pick it up. There is litter of all kinds scattered about. One time, I heard gunshots outside of my unit & tried to convince myself they were fireworks. I checked the Ring app afterwards & saw a video of a man literally shooting into the air. I contacted Stafford PD. -The landlord special was crazy in my unit. Stains? Paint over it. Mold? Paint. Just feel like it? PAINT OVER IT!!! -There was water damage all over the unit. The bathroom fixtures were rusted & gross but I learned to live with it after a while. They worked fine. The shower had mold in the cracks & was cheaply made. The laminate (vinyl?) floors were lifting from the water damage as well. -The leasing office may or may not answer your phone call. Every time I spoke with Genesis, though, she was cheerful & helpful. -The air filters rarely got replaced. -Water shut offs were very common. People seem to have varying experiences here, but mine was mostly positive. Although I'm moving on to a different residence, this place was a wonderful refuge.

At 2:00 a.m., a vehicle drove into my living room. I absolutely do not recommend this place. It's not safe; we had to stay elsewhere for a week, and no one helped us. While renovating, the site staff broke my TV while moving it. I told the site management about it, and no one called me about it for two weeks. Fortunately, my contract ends in 40 days, and I'm leaving. There are nothing but cockroaches, ants, and moldy materials. There's only one thing above all else: human safety and health. If you care about these things, definitely don't come to live here.

I had one of the best treatment here by the staff when I went for a tour! The manager is supper welcoming and understanding. She helped me find the perfect apartment match with the budget I came in with. The apartments are beautiful and clean. I would 100% recommend to tour the apartments and check them out this might be your next new home!

I used to live here years ago. I lived at Windfield for about 6 years. And never had a problem. Got laid off and had to move. I am currently looking for a place now, and would like to return. Can I. I moved before an eviction notice was served. Can I come back.

There's mold in the closets. There's a musty smell in the bathroom. Ants are crawling out everywhere. They say they've renovated everything; don't believe them. Dangerous people are stealing, fighting, and you don't let your family out in the garden. Cars drive by with loud music. The police always come here because something's wrong. Get out of here. It was the biggest mistake of my life.
