Found this place by chance. I had a craving for some soul food. This was the closest location to me. I read a few reviews and said let's go. I'll make my own review. The food here is definitely made and served with LOVE! The reviews told me I had to get the oxtails and they did not disappoint! My sides were black eyed peas and cabbage. Both great. The owner Mrs. Darilyn let me try the green beans and if I tried those first I would have gotten those instead of the cabbage. The cabbage was good, but the green beans were bomb! I also tried spinach with chicken. I ended up with an extra side of that as well! The energy in the room made me feel like family! First timers get a hug from the lady herself! I also got a cup of her specialty drink. It is sweet, but that's just how I like it! After reading a few reviews I will say she does have tables and chairs if you want to eat there and she does make her food daily so the menu is based on her spirit that day. If you want the works she says come on Sunday! Closed on Mondays. She also had meatloaf, baked chicken, and a few more items, but I came for the oxtails. Authentic soul food with flavor! She also caters!!!! Go see Mrs. Darilyn.

This place is a down home black family owned restaurant. If you want great soul food and great service walk into this place and the owners and staff welcome you as if you walked into their home. HEVENLY CHOICES has a combination of food choices on different days of the week such as Fried shrimp and catfish plates on Friday, Barbecue and burgers, on Friday and Saturday, and a chices of meat and 2 vegetables on Soul Food Sunday.which makes you want to try everything. Although the building and parking lot can be improved, you forget about the tiny negative aspects and enjoy smelling, seeing, and tasting real southern soul food.

Saw this spot out the corner of my eye after church and hit a u-turn immediately. Walked in to the best smiles and service. We invited my mom and stayed hrs. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will return with others. Met a fellow alumn and the rest of the owners family. Everything was good. Looking forward to my next visit after the holidays
