I went here for poetry Night on a sunday and had a good time. The drinks are really reasonable and the crowd was nice . My only complaint would be the hookah. I was there for about 4 hours and I never got a refill on my coals. I advise the guy doing the hookah multiple times but I can tell he was overwhelmed as he was the only person doing hookah. Other than that I had a really good time and the drinks were really good . I also had the Buffalo chicken basket and that was a no go. The wings were super big like huge. So i wouldn't recommend those

Me and my husband came here last Sunday and it was amazing! Great poets, food EXCEEDED my expectations. We shared a fish plate with fries and two nice size jalapeños. Somebody in the kitchen know what they doing! Our drinks were tequila sunrise and Long Island iced tea. They weren’t stingy with the liquor although I’ve had better drinks. They were still good. The atmosphere was inclusive it didn’t feel weird you can tell the whole atmosphere was a laid back vibe. What topped it off for us was the live DJ. He was lit! The audience was lit too it was a whole vibe! The age range of people there were a mix of middle age and above and the people that were late 20’s you can tell we’re mature and in the “grown and sexy” class! I enjoyed this place. We going back this Sunday! Also, if you plan on eating I would pay a bit extra for a table because general admissions you would have to eat in your lap or at the bar. Get there earlier before the show to get seats that you would like. We sat on side and I would have preferred being more towards center. Host was fun and engaging.

I didn’t order food so n/a. The drinks were good and the bar tender was very kind and he was fast. I treated the food off the drinks. Ha! Great atmosphere! Not enough seating. I had to leave an hour and a half early because I didn’t have a seat. All the seats were filled. The parking was free across the street but I saw alot of people using meters around me. Valet was around $20. Awkward entrance path if the greeter isn’t paying attention to open the door for you. Get there early. I think it was a good atmosphere.

I visited this venue for a performance of afro-fusion artist Pusha Preme. His show was great! The bartenders are crooks! They charge and do whatever they want. Ordered the same 2 drinks and the first time it was $23, then the second it was $38! When confronted they both said the other charged the wrong price!

Took my partner to the Poetry Lounge for live poetry and Comedy on Sunday evening. This was my second time experiencing the event. Great energy, love the live DJ, MC, but please lower the volume when you had the live singer on, as it seriously took away from the quality. The Poets were on point, and quite thought provoking and as real as real can get, which is who I am at my core. We ended up leaving a little early due to me having back and neck issues, but none the less, I will come back again. On a final note, I am a Poet myself, and give lots of love and credit for anyone who is willing to go up on stage basically naked and vulnerable, and bare their soul. 🙏
