Great place to live. Moved from the suburbs to be closer to work. Great staff, clean building, and access to the tunnels.

Wasn’t sure about moving to the downtown area as we have lived in the River Oaks/Uptown area since moving to Houston (6 years). Commerce Tower is super nice and incredibly elegant. The staff are all very seasoned and professional. They are so good at their jobs and theirs information is always spot on. The tunnels are a really nice amenity and accesses so much of the downtown area. If considering a move visit Commerce Towers if you have a chance, the units here have residents that have lived here for years not months. The building setup and super wide hallways are amazing. The location of the building offers views that are unmatched. We’ve been fortunate to have a view that allows us to watch the fireworks on Friday nights at Minute Maid Park. We’ve been more at home here than anywhere else we have lived.

👍 There is tunnel access here. 👍 There's a food court in the tunnel portion of this building. 👍 They had a really hot (male) security guard here. 🤜 There's housing in the upper levels of the building. I came here for a hook-up over a decade ago and can't judge the rest of the building based on his... umm. "performance" or decoration. 👎 In 2024, the homeless have become a problem within the tunnels. They hang out in the food court and stop people on their lunch breaks to ask for money. I have never seen security remove the homeless from the tunnels.

Visited the Amazing A Private Invitation Catering (API Catering Kitchen) Restaurant in the Commerce Towers food court and it was soooo good! Good was fresh and seasoned to perfection! I hope they continue to do Sunday Brunch in addition to their weekly lunch offerings!

I usually review food establishments across texas and other locations but i found myself at a venue downtown and have plans to go walk this property again with my living spouse. I was a member of the General Contractor on this project in 1999. We took a crane and placed another crane on the 16th floor to set the pool. The building structure was from 1923 and thr alignment of all of the granite on the exterior facade which ties into the motor court was a special task in itself. Part of the interiors on ground and concourse level consisted of Italian cream marbles that were selected from a quarry in Italy that matches up with mahogany bookmatcthed columns wrapped in stainless edge bands and are surrounded with fabric acoustical puff panels.we were design build and had to have the tools made to cut the mahogany crown molding that wraps the light coves. It has a domed 60' tall ceiling that has 24 caret gold leafs feather brushed in. All of the walls, floors and ceilings have multiple stainless reveals, stainless trim and cooridinating terrazzo that are strategically aligned with the elevators and escalator that take you underground shopping or up to the exquisite units. I visit this building every 5 to 10 years because it is still special to me in heart and in history. Take a gander at the rest and enjoy the many great features this building has to offer.
