Cool location and good seafood. Service and atmosphere: This is very cool looking restaurant with part of it looking like a train wagon. The inside was spacious, clean, well organised and decorated. Ask for a table in the train wagon area which also includes full bar. The service staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Food and drinks: They offer very good selection of various foods. You can opt for grilled, fried and fresh seafood. You can order soups, salads, and variety of plates. All dishes were well presented, made with fresh ingredients. Good seasonings and taste. I recommend the shrimp and lobster cocktail and fried green tomatoes for starters. The restaurant serves many alcoholic beverages too. Pricing: $$/$ -two people dinner with starter, mains, and three drinks came to around $130.

Absolutely love this seafood place, part of one of Houston's best chains. The fish is always very well cooked, and great fish itself. The red beans and oysters (whether fried in a po' boy or fresh by the dozen) are definitely not to miss, as well as campechana. The atmosphere is great, with fish models on the walls and nice tables, not to mention that this restaurant is actually IN A TRAIN CAR. The servers are absolutely great, and super polite and attentive. My most recent server, Kevin, was absolutely great and very friendly. Special shout out to him for doing great work!

My first Houston seafood dinner was last night at Captain Benny's. I thought they were pretty good. But then for lunch today I tried Goode Company. Everything was a notch above. Seafood Gumbo was thicker and more stocked with crab and shrimp. The oysters were slightly above in quality, but Goode Company nailed the presentation. Including some bread to sop up any leftover sauce. (And not with horseradish and cocktail sauce which don't belong on a grilled oyster plate). Goode Company's Redfish was tasty and tender and a winner. Would come back and recommend. The big room (not on the railroad car side) is pretty non-descript. Service was very good.

I’ll be candid but fair. This is a place worth visiting once, though I wouldn’t feel entirely confident recommending it. In my opinion, it’s somewhat overrated. I was seated at a table in front of the bar, where the employees’ conversations were quite loud and distracting. One petite staff member, in particular, spoke very loudly throughout my meal. The dish I ordered (Mesquite Skewer) was acceptable in flavor but surprisingly small for the $32 listed on the menu. On a positive note, my server (Monicca) was polite and attentive. Overall, I’d suggest exploring other restaurants in the area for seafood.

David S was worth his weight in gold! Excellent service. Very knowledgeable about the food and he sold it with a smile. The campechana was my favorite. The fried green tomatoes were cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning. I had the special mesquite grilled redfish topped with a shrimp sauce. He said it was “lightly” seasoned and that was certainly true. It was otherwise ok. Everyone who ordered the crabmeat fettuccine was without complaint. We also ordered Laguna Madre and I was told the sauce is what made the difference for that plate. It was an experience for sure. Definitely a senior crowd but nice atmosphere.
