Good Eats Soul Food Restaurant did not disappoint. 🙌 The pork chops and chicken wings were fantastic—crispy, flavorful, and clearly cooked made-to-order. It did take about 30 minutes to get my food, but honestly, it was 100% worth the wait. You can tell everything is fresh. The mac and cheese wasn’t my favorite, and the peach cobbler didn’t hit for me, but the yams and banana pudding were amazing and more than made up for it. 🍠🍌 Overall, I highly recommend this spot, especially if you don’t mind waiting for quality soul food. I’m definitely going

Good Eats Southern Cuisine in Houston is exactly what the name promises—real Southern food done the right way. Every bite tastes like patience, tradition, and skill. The flavors are deep, comforting, and soulful without being greasy or overdone. This is the kind of food that reminds you how Southern cooking is supposed to taste. The portions are generous, the seasoning is on point, and everything comes out hot and fresh. You can tell they care about quality, not shortcuts. On top of that, the service is warm and welcoming, like being invited into someone’s kitchen rather than just another restaurant. If you’re craving authentic Southern comfort food that fills you up and hits the soul, Good Eats Southern Cuisine is a must-visit in Houston. They cook everything fresh so make sure you have some time at aside.

We touched down in Houston after an early morning flight at 6:30 am!! Although I've been here many times before for business travel, I knew I had to connect with people who know the area! We stopped to patronize a black-owned business. Owners Mr. Skip and Pam of Good Eats Southern Cuisine treated us with love. But wait! The food was outstanding! I had to hold off on tasting it! But baby, when I did, it did not disappoint! We had turkey necks, corn stuffing, fried and regular ribs, fried catfish, fried corn on the cob, yams, and that cornbread! It was all really soul food! Check them out when you are in Houston, Texas! Tell them we sent you! 😋💯🎯💚💥

Felt like some soul food, so I decided to give this place a try. The oxtails were tender and full of flavor, and both the mashed potatoes and greens were delicious. I wasn’t a fan of the mac and cheese, but everything else hit the spot. The service was quick, and my food came out hot and fresh. Overall, a solid experience!

This was our first time eating here and the service was amazing. Very friendly staff. Food was delicious. I ordered the smothered turkey wings with rice and dressing and was not disappointed at all. Portions were huge and more than enough. My husband ordered the Cajun fried catfish with black eyed peas and mashed potatoes and his plate was also piled high and delicious. We highly recommend this place. We will definitely be making this a place to eat again soon.
