dizzy on caffeine
The coffee here is okay, it’s nice to be able to stop by after walking around Hermann Park (which is what we did). There is a lot of options on the menu, but everything is expensive for the poor quality you receive (not saying it’s HORRIBLE quality, just that you can get much better for the same price all over town). It was 1pm when we came, so 4 hours of them being open, and they were out of pretty much all of their baked goods and refrigerated food. I took off a star for atmosphere because there were a lot of loud kids running around and refusing to sit still (like there’s a park outside, just go there ??). I understand it’s next to the zoo, just wish there was an option nearby with less kids everywhere, or some way for this business to keep the kids distracted. Definitely felt like walking into a daycare, I can’t imagine the kind of headaches the workers get. Otherwise, it’s a cutely decorated shop.

Our experience was fine here. It’s a very convenient cafe in the middle of Hermann Park. Interior is beautifully decorated. The tables could been cleaner. Cashier and barista were friendly. My matcha strawberry chia pudding was fine. Could have been colder but they keep it in an open refrigerator shelf.

A healthy & delicious brunch cafe! Stop in for breakfast or lunch to refuel and rehydrate with your choice of indoor or outdoor scenic view seating. Their menu is complete with meat and vegetarian options, coffee juice, sweets, and more! The food looks fantastic and is yummy too. The Turkey Club and the Avocado & Egg Toast were delicious! I couldn't resist eating a garnished egg before snapping pics~

Extremely expensive for the quality of food and service you get. A kid's meal (twin burgers: which is two small Hawaiian buns with a bit of meat and cheese) was 8 USD. I added fries (they gave me the equivalent of half a small order) and it was 2.50 USD. Cold "ice tea" came without any ice, and it was priced almost 4 USD. Other reviews explain that you get the food as if in a school cafeteria and I could not agree more, however you get charged as if you were eating at an actual restaurant. We've been living in Houston for about 9 years and I really, really miss when this place was the Piney Woods Cafe and I could get a humongous and delicious Reuben sandwich for the same price as this joke of a kid's meal.

The icecream was soooo nasty 🤢 Not worth the price, it should be $.50 cents but we paid $9 for this garbage. I tried to eat it since I paid and was afraid to ask for a refund, but ended tossing it in the trash, my daughter on the other hand complained but she’s just a kid and had hers even with it being nasty.
