Is that the smell of cilantro and…is that TURMERIC? I think I took a wrong turn at the River Styx. This is Fusion Taco, I am told by LIVING patrons that it is one of the city's best taco institutions, so let us begin. Well, I must say, these tacos are far from a culinary grave. I sampled the chicken tikka on corn, fragrant with spice and a delightful textural contrast, as well as the lamb keema, rich and savory with a pleasant warmth. Their breakfast taco is a solid start to any day, or even reanimating if you happen to be me. The palomas here are DIVINE, they even have Yellow Rose on draft being a pleasant surprise for a beer man like myself. The chips and queso, solid and tasty. No need to ever summon me here, I'll already be here enjoying their tacos!

I think there is a discounted price every Tuesday… so we went there on Tuesday 😁 I didn’t like the chicken taco because the taco shell was soft — I prefer crispy tacos. The beef taco was crispy and much more delicious :) if you like soft taco shell, you can order chicken taco. The prices were good; I paid only a few dollars (~10$) for 2 tacos. Don’t forget — I went there on Tuesday :) If you go on a Tuesday, you can get the discounts.

I tried the Quesadilla with tofu and kale it's ok rather bland. I would say it should have a dip. When you order it without cheese it's dry. For the appetizer I ordered guacamole. The portion size for guacamole is shareable but it was over salted and could have used some garlic, black pepper, and more lime if there was any in there. The chips however were rocks.. I sent those back and requested bread. And I tried the sweet potato fries. They were good . But they appeared to be the typical kind you can buy frozen at the grocery store.

AVOID THIS PLACE. There are better places in Norhill/Monti Beach area. Went here to meet friends. The atmosphere is awful. Too loud and a sensory nightmare, plus the menu is way too small to read for those with severe visual impairments, plus the dining room area is too narrow and hard to maneuver when you use a wheelchair. Would never come here again. Wanted to try the food but couldn't see the menu, and it's not available on their website. Edit #1 Asked verbally about items on the menu. Ordered chips and salsa, and the chips were awful. Worst chips I have ever had. The store brand tortilla chips at the grocery store are so much better than this junk. Edit 2: The Manager, who refused to identify himself, and a female staff member in a yellow shirt were very rude, claiming I was rude for speaking out against how awful the restaurant and food were, like they couldn't take criticism of how awful they are. I don't sugarcoat and speak the truth, and they couldn't handle it. The manager offered a refund and quickly rescinded it. He said I was trespassed from the store. He even threatened to call the cops. I left after that. AVOID this place like the plague. The city needs to shut this place down.

I’ve been a regular at Fusion Taco for both lunch and dinner, and it never disappoints. This spot is a unique blend of Tex-Mex and Asian flavors, and everything I’ve tried from the menu has been fantastic. While their tacos are great, the standout for me is their steak salad. The cut of steak they use—usually bavette or hanger steak—is perfectly cooked every time: tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The Asian ginger sesame dressing is so tasty, that makes me craving just by thinking of it. This the only salad I happily order at any restaurant (and that says a lot, because I’m usually all about the steak and never over salads). On top of the amazing food, their cocktails are equally impressive. My personal favorite is the Paloma—refreshing, balanced, and just the right amount of citrus kick. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner with drinks, Fusion Taco delivers consistently excellent food and service. Highly recommend giving it a try if you haven’t already.
