Really disappointed to see the quality of Freebirds consistently declining. We used to order our meals ahead of time and stopped because every time we would promptly pick up (only a 5 min drive away), the food would be cold no matter how soon we arrived. The few times we have returned for dine-in, we experienced the same issue. If our food is being prepared right as we go down the line, it should not be cold by the time we sit down. Doesn't matter which location, this is always a problem. I arrived today right around 12 and lettuce on the line was already quite browned so early in the day. I ordered a burrito bowl, it was not hot when I sat down outside the building to eat, and it was so bland compared to how the flavors used to be. Some of the beans were undercooked. The only fresh tasting/flavorful components of the bowl were the guacamole and corn. It is nice to have place that accepts cash where you can get a nutrient-dense bowl for $10.28 (vegetarian with guacamole at no extra charge, no drink or extras). The staff at any location are always incredibly kind and professional. However, I don't know if it's worth it to try coming back for a better experience at this point unfortunately. Hopefully the food quality will improve for the chain as a whole.

Had went for the bogo stars burrito promo today and I paid extra for extra meat but they barely put any on and even though I had requested no rice they stuffed the burrito with extra rice (which was undercooked) I have been talking so good about Freebirds since they started the stars promo and have been visiting regularly since then and recommended to my friends and coworkers but this time the person I had gotten the other burrito for and myself were really let down but this. I have left a support ticket and a post service survey. I hope they will fix the issue and hire staff that can actually read. But to all the other times it was good and I don’t blame everyone (because every other time it’s been amazing, yall don’t change please- just the person who made it tonight really sucks)

I had an issue with my delivery order from Freebirds Sawyer Heights and called to get it resolved. When I received my burrito, it was missing ingredients. I called the store and spoke with Cecilia, and unfortunately the experience went downhill from there. I explained the issue and was told the burrito did have those ingredients, even though I was literally looking at it right in front of me. I asked for a refund and was told they couldn’t do that, which I understand, but there was no effort to help beyond that. The call ended with her hanging up, and her tone throughout the conversation was not what you expect from customer service. I called back and thankfully spoke with another employee who was completely the opposite experience. She was helpful, offered a remake, and even took my name and coordinated when I could come by. That’s exactly how you handle a situation like this. I’ve never had issues at other Freebirds locations in Houston, which is why I usually choose them over other chains. This experience was disappointing and not what I expect from this location. EDIT: No body from management has reached out. This business doesn’t care!

Freebirds has huge, customizable burritos Monster size is popular- fresh ingredients signature queso often included and generous portions. It's often seen as a better and bigger than Chipotle!!! with options like brisket seasonal and multiple tortilla types. Oh and let’s not forget about the cookies!! are freshly baked too.

Free birds used to be one of the best burrito places in town. It's really gone downhill. I decided to try again because maybe last time was a one off. Nope. Almost all rice, flavor as bland as it gets. Sadly chipotle is better than this. Not coming back.
