Fred's Place 4 Events

Admittedly, I probably would have never discovered Fred’s Place & Events if it hadn’t been for the TooGoodToGo app, but I am genuinely glad I did. From the moment I pulled up, loud Cajun music was blasting through the speakers, creating a fun, energetic atmosphere even while waiting outside. It immediately set the tone. When I arrived, it was a walk up window setup. You ring the doorbell and are enthusiastically greeted. Within a few minutes, my order was provided. And the food? Absolutely worth it. I had the catfish, shrimp and grits, and waffles, and everything was seasoned beautifully. The shrimp and catfish were packed with flavor, cooked just right, and the grits were rich and satisfying. The waffles were next level, topped with frosting and syrup that were truly divine. At the time of my visit, there was no dine in option. It was to go only, so plan accordingly. That said, the experience was smooth, friendly, and efficient. With a new hospital being built across the street, I can easily see this place staying busy. It has that local gem energy with bold flavors to back it up. If you are not local, it is still worth the trip. And if you are local, you might just have a new southern / Cajun favorite.

I originally discovered Fred’s Place 4 Events through the Too Good To Go app, and ever since that first order, I’ve been completely hooked. The food is consistently amazing fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish I’ve tried has exceeded expectations, and it didn’t take long before I got my family hooked to it as well The customer service is just as impressive as the food. The owner, especially, is warm and welcoming, and you can truly feel that energy in every visit. If you haven’t tried Fred’s Place 4 Events yet, you’re missing out.

My daughter and I had been meaning to try this hidden gem since we had been seeing it on the "Too Good To Go" app. A notification popped up yesterday and we secured our bags. We had such high expectations for this place and they did not disappoint. Food was fresh and hot and super delicious and the customer service was top tier. I look forward to returning and trying something other menu items. ***Edit: we have been back twice this week,food so good the family had to order from the regular menu. Everything I've tried so far has been great. We're regulars now!

Pretty great. Boudin, smokey with a crisp snap of the casing. Catfish and shrimp crisp well seasoned breading. Shrimp was perfect. House-made garlic sausage, good snappy casing heavy garlic flavor with a slight heat. Brisket was tender. All the meats had just the right amount of dirty smoke.

Like many, I got a plate from too good to go and I'm glad that I did. I received a bbq plate with diced potatoes and it was so delicious. It was very well seasoned and an excellent portion. You won't be disappointed coming here.
