It's been a long time since Floyds impressed me! This pork chop may be one of the best things I've eaten this month!! And the wife the had the chicken fried chicken. "The gravy was really yummy", her words haha.

Stopped by Floyd's Seafood for the first time. I ordered the Seafood Gumbo and a Croc Margarita, and both were really good! Secondly, I ordered the the Famous...(6) Oyster Floyd dish. It baked oysters with shrimp, crab meat and cheddar cheese...It was good, but needs something else to to make it "famous". It was notable fishy tasting, but good. I would suggest Oysters Rockefeller with the spinach & Parmagan cheese.

Our server is, Kyrstin, was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. Love that. The boudin balls have potential to be a star but the mushy texture ruined it. The boiled crab was … interesting. We were distracted with a burnt/woodsy flavor profile. It was distracting and didn’t feel like the right seasoning for the clusters. It was spicy which is great if you like that but there is a very bizarre immediate taste and aftertaste to the seasoning. Our potatoes were undercooked but the corn was perfect. For reference we each for the 1lb snow crab boil, boudin balls and one ice tea. $88 after tip.

We had not visited a Floyd's establishment in several years. I was delighted when we came across one and decided to dine there. Upon our arrival, we noticed a sign that read, "Please seat yourself." The restaurant was not particularly busy at that time. We surveyed the available seating, but no staff member greeted us, despite the sign's instruction to seat ourselves. The tables near the entrance were not suitable for my family's needs, so we proceeded to another section of the restaurant. I observed an older gentleman folding napkins and inquired if that area was open for seating. Unfortunately, he responded in a hostile manner (by yelling at us), reprimanding me and my children for not checking in with the hostess first. This unpleasant encounter nearly prompted us to leave the establishment. I returned to the sign to ensure that my understanding of its message was accurate, and it did indeed state that customers should seat themselves. Subsequently, a young lady approached us and provided excellent service, which helped to improve our dining experience. The food was delicious, consistent with my memories from years past, and even my most discerning child enjoyed their meal. However, I am unlikely to return to that particular location due to the unpleasant interaction with the older staff member. Our party conducted ourselves respectfully and did not deserve to be addressed in such a manner. A simple inquiry should not have elicited such a negative response.

We visited Floyd’s on New Year’s and are so glad we stopped by! From the moment we arrived, we were attended to promptly, and our server was exceptional—constantly refilling our drinks, checking in with us, and offering great recommendations. I didn’t realize how extensive the food options were, and I wanted to try everything! We ended up ordering the chicken fried chicken (lunch portion, which was massive!), scallop ceviche, an oyster platter, and seafood gumbo. Overall, everything tasted fantastic. The only downside was that my fried oysters were slightly overcooked and had a bit of a burnt flavor, but despite that, I’d definitely come back again!
