Flakey's Pizza

Loved my experience. We were in the neighborhood to visit my daughter and just happened to cross paths with Flakey's. My experience, fantastic. One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Crust, fantastic. Toppings, nicely balanced! Music in the background, perfectly matched. Will go again!

If you love good pizza with a side of quirk and a cool view, you owe Flakey's a visit. Sit down on your tailgate and eat it fresh right there. Hopefully it's a great weather night and when the train runs through its that much cooler. I've pedaled past this place on Thursday night rides and critical mass rides for years but never ate here. Finally tried it and it was as good as good as I always hoped it would be. Meat lovers is amazing with JUST enough crunch on the bottom of the crust to go with the molten layer of cheese. Nothing frilly or foo foo, just really great tasting hand tossed pizza and the right amount of late-night Houston vibe.

Ordered the pizza at 9:45 PM. Flakey’s was not busy at all and the pizza was supposed to be delivered at 10:38. When we looked to check on the order it had changed and said that it was expected to be delivered the next day. So, we called the store and they said that something had happened with our order and asked if we still wanted it. All of our group had been up for hours since we had all traveled from different states and this is our first time in Houston. After the 20 minutes passed that they told us to wait, we called again. I was explaining the situation to the lady on the phone and she rudely cut me off and said that the delivery driver would be arriving shortly and then hung up. For this to be our first time ordering I find this extremely unprofessional. The food came dry, distasteful, burnt, and some pieces even had holes. We couldn’t finish the disaster of food that Flakey’s provided us with and would like some sort of compensation for this event. We’re asking for our money back since we genuinely could not even attempt to eat the food.

The inside was covered in grease and did not look like it has been cleaned it months. The mozzarella sticks had grease dripping out of it but was still under cooked. The pizza crust was completely charred on the outside and was raw on the inside. The pizza box was covered in ash on the outside , and there was ashes inside as well on the pizza. It's completely over priced as well. If you value your health and don't want salmonella, do not eat here.

Apsolutly, the best pizza in Houston. Every bite was like shaking hands with Jesus. I think it's the generous toppings and made with love. Fast and genuine. Good vibes. Pizza heaven.
