Tasty meals, but the order combination is a bit different at this restaurant. I ordered a meal of edikaikong soup and was surprised when I got to the restaurant and was told that the soup, the meat (protein), and side were all separate prices. When you order soup, you get just the soup. The soup alone was about $20, the cheapest rotting was about $11, and the side of white rice was $5. I also tried the bitterleave soup. Both soups were good.

Food was not bad, just expected more. Also the meat was not tender (goat or beef) we ordered egusi, fufu, jollof rice and meat pies. The goat in the egusi was flavorful but very chewy and the beef with the jollof rice was super tough, jollof rice did not have much flavor. Meat pies were great. Not mad just expressing, but the meat was tough, still enjoyed it though.

I will tell the truth! They have the BEST okra Ogbono soup I have had in Houston but their attitudes and customer service? TERRIBLE! They started taking my food to the back after they made it then coming back staring me in my eyes with this evil look, UNPROVOKED! It made me feel like they put something in my food. Nevertheless, that was their last time seeing me! Since I’ve stopped eating there, a lot of weird misfortune has stopped.

This was my first time trying this place and the customer service was terrible. As soon as I informed that the meat was too tough, the waitress had an attitude. I wanted to do an exchange for chicken instead something that wasn’t so dry and tough. They wait 15 mins to come back and tell me they’re out of chicken smh. They were not out they just didn’t want to replace my meat. The egusi soup was ok but I would never step back into this facility. They demanded that I pay for something that I couldn’t even consume, I requested mgr and she had the nerve to tell me it’s not even about the mgr, then proceeds to get the cook from back and try and convince me that the meat is supposed to look and taste like that. Rude establishment and do not recommend.

An evening out with my daughter and her adventurous white friend. Service was ok, no biggie. Server was nice but we felt a bit pressured to pay the bill before we were done eating. Finger Licking is a Nigerian restaurant serving authentic Naija cuisine. They are big on “efo riro” (mixed African vegetable soup). We decided to try other soups today. We had popular Naija drinks: Star Lager Beer and Orijin (spirit mixed drink with African herbs and fruit extracts. For morsels, we each had pounded yam, accompanied with Bitter Leaf Soup and Tilapia fish (1); Egusi (melon) soup with Assorted Meats: beef, shaki (tripe) and cow leg, popularly called “bokoto”! (2). Nice taste of home! 😋 Could be better though … to get the real local flavor in so those unfamiliar with Nigerian cuisine can get the best. And they do home deliveries with Uber Eats, Door Dash and Grub Hub.
