Two Star Experience. Go somewhere else. First yellow flag was when we went on a Friday (6/21/2024) around 12PM there wasn’t anyone else there. The 2nd yellow flag is that the menus were even quality printed. Although laminated the menus were poorly printed. Some had unclear print and pictures. If they can’t put their best foot forward in their menu it probably isn’t going to be a good experience. However, it was a new location so we stayed and ate. That was a very disappointing decision. The food is average and poor. The sushi was the most disappointing experience as the fish was thinly sliced, poor texture (probably not fresh), rice was either soggy (probably from the night before) or crunchy (again probably from the night before) and the seaweed were chewy (either they used hot rice or it was left out and the Houston humidity caused the seaweed to be soggy and not crunchy. In sushi you cannot get this wrong. he flavors were bland and unsatisfying. the side dishes like the seaweed salad and kani salad were good. The Ramen noodles took a while to come out but were too salty, noodles tasted like they came from a package. The pork was dry in the ramen. The poke bowl was decent b/c I ordered it without rice. The chicken teriyaki was dry, the fried rice was poorly flavored & dry (lime it was from the day before) and the vegetables were overcooked. Again, if you’re dropping $20 or $30 per person you expect a certain caliber of food. The free Boba is a nice touch. Our server was nice and friendly. Parking is free and right in front of the restaurant. Bottom line: I would go to a different sushi restaurant especially because there are so many around that area.

I'm glad to be one of the 1st to review this place, The food was delicious, we ordered extra crispy wings, green tea, fried shumai, takoyaki and 2 ramen. Definitely coming back to try more items on the menu, if you leave close by and like asian food this spot it's a must

TLDR: we got served bad and rancid fish, when we raised concerns, they gave attitude and even contaminated the to-be-served fish by placing on our returned plate. Also, very slow service due to being severely understaffed. I saw multiple posts on social media about the brand that it was so fresh and cheap, so we decided to take our family to this location for some quick sushi fix. We went at 7pm on a Saturday so when we saw how empty it was, we were puzzled. But when we sat down, they gave us the menus, we chose the upper tier AYCE because I love Ikura. But when we started to order, they told us 5 pieces per person per order cuz the chef needs time to prep?. Which was confusing cuz the whole place was empty. But we said okay and just got appetizers and rolls first. Once we got our food, we ordered the sashimi and thats when they told us they don’t have any of the fish that come in the upper tier menu.. why would you not let us know about that before we chose the options??? So we annoyingly ordered the other sashimi options and got a plate of salmon, albacore, escolar, yellowtail, and red snapper, ika, and eel. The red snapper, ika, eel, and salmon were okay. But immediately we noticed the albacore, escolar, and yellowtail were off. Albacore was dry like a jerky and had a bitter rancid taste to it. Escolar was visually discolored and had dried crust on it with mushy texture. The yellowtail was slightly grey with a pungent raggy smell to it. I immediately gagged after that. My in-laws stopped eating and since the salmon was okay the first time, my husband ordered some salmon. When we got it, we were skeptical because it looked clearly mushy, so we gave it a sniff and the same rancid smell made us gag again. So we notified the server that it smells and looks off and we aren’t comfortable eating it and he annoyingly took the plate without saying anything and tossed the plate to the chef saying it’s been returned. Then I see the chef taking the whole salmon off the prepping case, and placing it on our returned plate (which still had the salmon pieces we had picked up with used chopsticks to smell) and demanded us to smell the fish and that it is fine and they are all the same. So I told him we simply returned the dish because we don’t feel comfortable eating it. He stomps back to his area and take the whole fish off our old plate and back to the prep case where it will be used for other customers. We just ordered cooked items after that which were at least edible. At the end, my son wanted chocolate ice cream which it took 30 min to come out, and it was like scraps of all the ice cream flavors. How do you mess up ice cream??? As the server brought it out, he told us the power was out last night and thats why they didn’t have all the fish and the ice cream flavors are all mixed. Then it hit me, maybe they just “salvaged” some fish that seemed okay? In any case, the lack of informing the customers about the inventory, the chef prepping and serving up bad fish, the staff’s attitude when we voiced concerns, the contamination of the fish when he placed the fish on an old plate are all very concerning, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I’m sure it isn’t the employees fault and they are just as frustrated because it seemed that they were extremely understaffed and poorly managed. I hope this gets the management’s attention because quality control is needed for the brand’s sake, since there are other location all over US and many seems to be better. But as for our family and friends, we will not be dining at another Domoishii again.

Hey houston, if you like great sushi and hibachi at a great price. And it all you can eat for 20.00 this place is it. Me and my wife went today. And man it was awesome. The sushi was amazing. It was made fresh every time we order. I thought maybe it was still alive in the kitchen. I never had sushi that was as good like that. I been to many places that served sushi but it was never as good as this place. The waiter was very attentive and always at our table to see if we needed anything. The hibachi was hot and fresh. And the food was season very well and tasted wonderful. I will be going there again. And to the waiter that served us. Keep up the wonderful service. And hope we have you as our waiter again.😀😀

Absolutely amazing all you can eat place. The sushi was great quality, service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The free boba tea was a bonus! Not sure why there’s any bad reviews, we ordered a wide array of items and everything came out perfectly. Highly recommend trying this place!
