Doozo's Dumpling and Noodle in McKinney St. Houston Texas is a great place to go for a light lunch. The dumplings are delicious, especially the spinach dumplings. The fried rolls and sweet and sour soup are also very good. I recently had the opportunity to have lunch at Doozo's with my friend. She had recommended the restaurant to me, saying that they had great spinach dumplings. I was not disappointed! The spinach dumplings were perfectly cooked, with a thin wrapper and a generous filling of spinach and other ingredients. They were served with a dipping sauce that was both flavorful and not too salty. I also tried the fried rolls and sweet and sour soup. The fried rolls were crispy and golden brown, with a delicious filling of ground pork and vegetables. The sweet and sour soup was tangy and refreshing, with a good balance of sweet and sour flavors. Overall, I had a great experience at Doozo's Dumpling and Noodle. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a light lunch or a quick bite to eat.

I used to frequent this place weekly when I worked in the building next door but have not been back for several years because I changed jobs. I really missed their spinach dumplings and was excited to swing by after my appointment at Kelsey Seybold. It's unfortunate that it was a bit of a disappointment. They must have changed their dough recipe and as other recent reviews have mentioned, the dough is way too thick (you can clearly see in my photo). The spicy sauce is nowhere near spicy. Doubt I will swing by again if I have another appointment in the vicinity.

Cool little dumpling spot in the food hall. Ordered the large steamed dumplings, fried chicken wontons and a wonton soup. The dumpling sauce is fire. I think it makes the meal definitely. They also have smoothies and teas with tapioca. Would go during morning times as a lot of food is made fresh and can run out.

I have no idea how the reviews of this place is so high….There are far better and more authentic dumpling places in downtown that have reasonable prices. I’m not coming back here. $12 for a bowl of flavorless broth and flour noodles. 10 dumplings for $10. This is highway robbery for expensive dumplings and terrible soup that’s FLAVORLESS (not event salt). The dumplings are NOT COOKED, tough, and FLAVORLESS. Even before putting on a sauce, steamed dumplings should have some tenderness and flavor that still taste good without sauce. Only bad dumplings rely 100% on the dipping sauce for flavor. The dipping sauces have way too much sugar in it. The extra spicy sauce isn’t even spicy. Tried the $12 BBQ pork fried rice is relatively tasteless. They literally plopped the pork on top of the fried rice like a side rather than mixing it in with the rice. The pork was also not very flavorful and didn’t taste fresh.

Update: They're back! I havent seen the cursed chilli oil anymore and the blessed chilli paste is back. I have only tried the veggie dumplings and the wonton soup, which were good. They are doing really good and I hope they keep it up! Old review: This place used to be the best. However, I am giving it 1 star for the following reasons and it might sound a bit harsh but it is not my intention to be mean, I just want to raise awareness to management: The dumplings are usually good. There might be some off days but not too often and it's fine. The sauce. The sauce makes or breaks this meal. They keep trying to add this disgusting chili oil sauce. Today was the last straw. They changed the normal ginger sauce and added the chilli oil to it. It does not contribute to the taste. The chilli paste was the best and it looks like they got rid of it (I hope not). Please stop using the chilli oil. I don't even know what kind of oil they are using. It's a real shame because this was once one of the best lunch spots downtown. I will check in periodically and update my review.
