The truth. Real authentic Nigerian food. If you’re looking for flavor, vibes, and hospitality this is the place. I recommend the catfish pepper soup, efo riro, and designer stew. Honorable mention is their suya. I have a lot of pictures of this place because I’ve been here so many times. That’s how good it is.

Great atmosphere, experience the real authentic Nigerian flavor freshly cooked meals daily like Lagos. The smoky party Jollof and efo riro is a bang! This place is highly recommended for Nigerian food in Houston Texas.

This was our first time trying Nigerian food, and it was a really great experience. The flavors were rich, unique, and very different from what we usually eat, which made it exciting to try. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, and you could tell a lot of care went into preparing the dishes. We especially enjoyed getting to try something new together, and it definitely made us want to explore more Nigerian cuisine in the future. The overall experience was very enjoyable, from the food to the atmosphere. The only reason we’re giving it 4/5 instead of 5 is because there were a few things we weren’t completely used to yet, but that’s part of trying new foods. Overall, it was a great first experience, and we would definitely come back again.

At 25.00 for soup and eba, the sit down customer service should be stellar. It is not. I openly laughed when we were presented with a credit card fee of 5% for $100 total. Because $25 per person more than covers any processing costs The food is solid. I ordered the efo riro because they did not have ogbono even though it was on the menu. They said that they have not had that soup for 6 months because of supply chain and terrorist issues. I know that you can change the menu in 6 months. It is strange to have a sit-down restaurant where you have to order at a counter and there is no menu physically present or on a screen. Everything about the experiences that they prefer to do takeout or delivery orders. The other people in my party ordered the egusi soup which came out looking beautiful but they did say it was salty, and we had the oxtail pepper soup. I think the food is fine but not competitive at its price. You'll get a better experience taking the food to your house to eat.

I visited Ejide African Restaurant while traveling from the UK, and it was truly one of the highlights of my time in Texas. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with staff who made me feel right at home. The menu offered a fantastic range of authentic African flavors, and every dish I tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of taste. What impressed me most was the attention to detail—the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the team took time to explain dishes and make recommendations. As someone visiting from abroad, I really appreciated that extra touch of hospitality. The restaurant itself has a vibrant yet relaxed vibe, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. I would highly recommend Ejide to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Texas. It’s a place that blends great food with genuine hospitality, and I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit.
