Disgraceful Sugar Land USPS office. Filthy, disorganized facility with trash strewn across the floor and every counter. Three employees working, yet they couldn’t care less about cleaning up. Staff lacks dignity and respect for customers and USPS. Poor leadership and employees allow this mess. Ashamed bringing my child to see this deplorable place.

Sadly, this was a two-part experience in one day. I was stunned by the employees’ rude, dismissive, and degrading behavior. I came in to send a package via Media Mail, honestly expecting it to be a quick and simple process—but I was terribly wrong. There were two people at the counter being “helped,” though that’s a strong word because I noticed the lack of effort right away—especially from the older female employee. She wasn’t friendly to the two customers before me, so I’m not sure why I expected my experience to be any different. This older lady could not have been worse. She treated me as if I were an ignorant child and spoke to me so harshly. With a nasty tone and exaggerated expressions, she said, “Have you never sent a letter before?” I was trying to send a package and needed her to print the label, which I was paying for, but she insisted I should already have it. Then came the tape issue. She asked me to remove a paper from the box, then told me I had to pay for tape. Okay! At that point, I was beyond frustrated. I left upset and called the bookstore I was returning the package to, explaining that I couldn’t get the label printed. They were just as confused as I was but thankfully waived the return shipping fee and sent me a prepaid label (something they typically don’t do). I printed it at the library and went back. Part 2: Here I go again, back in line with my three children in tow. I was third in line and waited about 20–25 minutes to reach the counter. My kids were waiting quietly near the cards and chairs. Here’s the kicker: I was finally being helped by a much nicer Indian gentleman with my package when, out of nowhere, I heard a loud yell—“If you touch it, you’re buying it!” I turned and saw that he was speaking to my children. My 10-year-old was simply looking at a card for me. I couldn’t believe he was talking to them that way. I immediately walked over and told him, “You do NOT speak to my children like that. If you need to address them, you speak to me. That tone is not acceptable.” By this point, I was completely overwhelmed and upset. He tried to backtrack and claim he was “only joking.” He appeared to be a supervisor, which made the situation even worse. I completed my transaction and left angry and shaken. I’m honestly embarrassed that I was this upset, but they truly pushed every one of my patience buttons. I do not recommend this post office at all.

Poor first experience, place was unorganized and wait time was abysmal even with appointment. Had to take photo off-site even though they should always have one on hand but it was broken. At least got the application filled out with Mr.Cameron, excellent mannered person who acknowledged the time wait and respected our time with getting the application done fast. Answered all of our question plus also set the correct expectation. For a lack of a better word, "Gold in a patch of dirt".

Honestly my experience can't get any worse. I have ordered many packages from different carriers but when I get orders shipped from USPS or this specific location they say "package can't be shipped due to an inaccurate or broad location" I have even called and asked for them to fix this as I have confirmed my information and yet again this has happened I ordered something a few weeks ago and wondered why they didn't arrive on time and saw that they were withheld at this specific location without notifying me or anything of the sort and this has happened before too. Last time we went in person to pick it up and they said the returned it to the seller but when I contacted the seller on Ebay they said they didn't have a clue in the world what I was talking about so I honestly assumed they lost my package and lied to my face and the lady that handles the packages in the back "memorized" my 15 digit tracking number went to the back for a good 10 seconds and came back and said "I couldn't find your package" very terrible experience I would recommend any other USPS store but this one.

Waited an hour to get fingerprints taken. The Identity Services employee did a head count, then announced he’d left his charging cable at home, so he wouldn’t be able to do any work today. He advised us to “try again tomorrow” but refused to guarantee that the same thing wouldn’t happen again. The couple ahead of us had been waiting several hours longer; they suggested trying a different office, as the exact same thing had happened just two days prior, at the exact same office. To be fair, the government is currently shut down, and workers are furloughed. It’s incredibly stressful. I get it. But it’s a lot harder to feel bad for/appreciative of ya’ll when you’re practically giving a roomful of tired adults the finger.
