The food at corkscrew is amazing! I’m not really a bbq person, but even if you aren’t, this is definitely worth trying. Come early right around opening time because they have long lines and start running out of items early in the morning day (like around 1 pm). Although lines can be an hour or longer, the wait is worth it. Servers also come by in the line to take drink orders so you can have a cold drink or beer while waiting. The meats are incredibly tender and fall off the bone, they also have the smoky char. We had the creek stone prime rib beef, 1/4 lb brisket, jalapeño cheese link, and pork ribs. For sides we had Mac and cheese and got peach cobbler for dessert. Warning - parking can be difficult to find. You may have to try lots behind the property

I was visiting from out of town to try this Michelin star barbecue restaurant and it really did live up to my expectations! I got the ribs, brisket, and mac n cheese. The ribs were well seasoned, and had a little kick to them from the chili flakes. I will say, they could have been a little more tender! On the other hand, the brisket was melt in your mouth soft and deliciously smoky. The barbecue sauce was nice but nothing special. The Mac n cheese was just okay. I prefer a Mac n cheese that has a sharper cheddar, but this tasted a bit flat and more so like an Alfredo Mac. If that’s your vibe, you’d enjoy this one! The biggest issue I had with this place is the LONG, LONG line. We waited for almost two hours to just put our order in. After that, there’s a wait to even get your food. I understand that it’s a popular spot, but they definitely need to update the way they serve customers! For such a long wait, I think you can find a better barbecue spot in Texas.

Corkscrew BBQ was terrific all the way around, but the brisket is what truly shines. It had that perfect melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a thick, flavorful bark that BBQ lovers dream about. Every bite was rich, smoky, and balanced without being overly greasy or dry. The jalapeño sausage link was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Great snap, bold flavor, and just the right amount of heat without overpowering the meat. It stood out as a must-order item. The pork ribs were extremely tender and cooked perfectly, but they were a little lighter on flavor compared to the brisket and sausage. Still enjoyable, just not as memorable as the other meats. The service was second to none, especially for a non–sit-down setting. The staff was friendly, efficient, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, Corkscrew BBQ is absolutely worth the trip. The quality of the food, consistency, and execution put it on par with Terry Black’s. If you’re serious about Texas BBQ, this place deserves a spot on your list.

This is the absolute best BBQ ever. Three of us dined here and here's what we tried, and all of it was the best: BBQ sandwich, pulled pork, loaded baked potato, potato salad, baked beans, side salad, and peach cobbler. (even the soda was different and delicious!) Everyone was pleasant and truly hoping our experience was superb. Anytime I'm visiting Texas I will be eating Corkscrew BBQ. You'll love it. The atmosphere was down home welcome. Catherine Roberts

Fantastic BBQ. Got 1/2lb of brisket (mixed) and a 1/4lb of garlic sausage. Both were great with the fatty brisket being the star of the show. The sprinkle of fixings, sweet tea, and a killer potato salad sealed the deal for me. Is it the best BBQ in Houston? Maybe. Would I recommend Corkscrew? Absolutely.
