We visited Copenhagen European Kitchen & Bakery for a traditional Danish Christmas lunch and had a lovely experience. The food was good and about as authentic as it gets in the US—everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The owner is a fun, welcoming presence, and I’d definitely recommend checking out her cookbook as well. The only downside was the bar. The cocktails could be much better, so I’d suggest sticking to beer or bottled beverages to avoid disappointment if you order a classic cocktail that turns out very different from what you expect. That said, the food and overall experience more than make up for it. Definitely recommend this spot.

I stumbled upon a gem on Google Maps called Copenhagen, and I finally got to try it – what a great experience! Mrs. Reck, the owner, is such a sweet lady with a true passion for cooking. She’s dedicated to bringing authentic Danish/Scandinavia food to Houston, and it really shows. Copenhagen has been open for three and a half years, and it’s stood strong through all the ups and downs. The portions are big, the flavors are bold, and everything tastes fantastic. Even after a hearty meal, there’s still room to check out the variety of delicious desserts waiting right at the front. I absolutely love this place and will definitely be back to try more dishes. If you’re looking for something different and delightful, I highly recommend giving Copenhagen a shot!

Wow what another great find we just found here in Katy, TX. I had been driving by this place for so long and wondered about it. We finally went in, and the staff is super friendly. We met the owner as well very nice lady. We order the lobster ravioli and the Wiener schnitzel huge portions. Awesome taste , we didn't leave hungry. The cakes slice are equally huge and very delicious, the Swedish princess was our favorite. Owner makes them from scratch. This a definite repeat place for us. So if you are in the area stop by and try them out. As always support your local community owned small businesses first.

I love this place. The food here is amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The smorgasbord has fancy and unique choices. I recommend the salmon. Get the elderflower mimosa. The apple strudel portion size was huge.

I cannot believe this restaurant isn’t packed all the time. We were there for a group dinner with the food served family style. Everything was freshly made and delicious, and the menu was much more varied than I expected. Even though everyone was so full after our meal, most of us ended up purchasing baked goods to take home for the next day. We will be back!
