Outstanding food. Don't let the menu prices scare you off. They are higher than your typical restaurant in this area but once you try it you'll immediately understand why. The quality of the food is obviously very good which is a huge cost for the restaurant. The flavor is unmatched. We have been twice, both times having different thing. I ordered the breakfast the first time. The bacon is unlike anything I have ever tried. Actually come to think of it neither is the French toast, eggs or hash brown casserole. The second time I ordered off the line which was about the average price for lunch but the taste was anything but average. I got the chicken fried chicken, red beans and rice, twice baked potatos and a roll. Undescribable. Even the roll was amazing. I tried the "million dollar macaroni" and biscuit that someone with me ordered. Both were amazing. You can definitely tell they put time and hard work into everything. They are currently remodeling which was much needed. The old restaurant (formerly Dixie Grill) always felt sticky. I think I'm immune from Covid from going to Dixie Grill in the past... Even mid-remodel it looks so much better. I really hope this place does good. The owner/chef is nice and so are the waitresses. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

Food was very good. Plenty of flavor. Ate the Salt and Pepper Shrimp entree. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Tried the Peach Cobbler Eggrolls. They are "Great". Could only eat 1 of 3.

This place is amazing! We didn’t have a long wait and the service was excellent. Everything is cooked to order and tastes delicious. We tried the new sidewinder fries and I couldn’t get enough of them. I’ll definitely be back!

Okay so let me just say I am a country girl from KY and I have been trying to find a soul food place that not only reminds me home, BUT also is true to their name!! Cooking with Flavour is IT!!! 🔥 I got the buffet, which is all you can eat. I literally was in amazement with the first bite of the cabbage! Whew! Then EVERY piece of meat is tender with the touch of the plastic fork! The smothered pork chop was my fav and then all of the sides were amazing! The have peach cobbler and cheesecake egg rolls that you can order for dessert, but I was too stuffed to try them. Camilla was sooo amazing and nice as a server and then I met the owner who is so welcoming and nice. The place is clean and has a DJ for music. You will be disappointed if you don't visit here!! This will be my go-to soul food restaurant.

The food is truly cooked with FLAVOUR as its name would suggest. I ordered the French toast and wings. The chicken wings were crispy, seasoned to perfection and stayed hot long after they were brought to my table. Loved the French toast. It comes with side of creamy potatoes. I almost thought it was grits because the texture was so smooth. I’ll be back tomorrow before I fly out of Hobby Airport. Love that it’s so close to airport. My new favorite restaurant in Houston.
