Chicago Italian Beef & Pizza

It had been a while since my last visit, but so glad we came by today! The lunch specials are such a great value! We ordered the Italian Beef sandwich with a salad, and a small Classic Chicago deep dish pizza. The Italian beef is so good, even though they were out if there usual peppers today, the meat and juice is so full of flavor! And very generous portions! The salad included in the lunch combo was huge, fresh, and really wonderful! It was my first time trying a deep dish pizza here, and won't be my last. It was loaded with high quality cheese and toppings, plus one of the best tomato sauces I've had. And the crust was perfectly crispy on the edges, and fluffy like a biscuit inside. I really loved it! My only critique on the pizza was due to the thickness, the peppers and onions were not quite as tender as you might want in a pizza. Might have needed a few more minutes in the oven to fully melt the cheese in the center and soften the veg. But that's a tiny nitpick as it was still really good! Will be bringing my brother back to try the Italian beef, and I'm excited to try the gyro next time and another pizza!

The pizza was great, the service was terrible. You have to get your own plates, she forgot our drinks, and did not bring a sugar free drink that was ordered. I am diabetic. She offered me cup with ice, but not my wife. Great Al Capone Deepdish, but we will not be going back.

A great find thanks to Google! Ordered a large deep dish pepperoni ($37) and tiramisu. Plenty of food for 4+. Both excellent! Very accommodating staff. Authentic and fun place. Prefer cash, but can take credit card on phone app.

First time here with my husband and wanted to see what the hype was about. First the place looks like an old strip club second they didn't have anything we wanted to order like the wings and she kept having to go check in the back to see if they had what I was ordering. Place had a funny smell that we later found out it was the restroom. Smelled like dirty toilet water. After waiting about 30 minutes for our pizza we ordered the deep dish and it just looked like a deep crust and the sauce was too much. I didn't like my overall experience here 😕

I got the large supreme deep dish with extra cheese and toppings, and it did NOT disappoint! The wait was about 45 minutes for the pizza, but that's because it's made from scratch. And it shows. The crust was so crispy, and the cheese taste was incredible! You can play the Playstation while you wait, though.
