A Cheese Affair in Houston is absolutely worth the trip. From the moment we walked in, Rachel was incredibly helpful and clearly very knowledgeable about every cheese in the case. She took the time to explain flavor profiles, textures, and pairings, which made the experience both fun and educational. The selection is impressive — everything from beautifully aged hard cheeses to creamy, soft varieties — and the shop itself is clean, well organized, and inviting. They also carry a great assortment of complementary products like wine, jams, honey, crackers, and specialty items that make it easy to build the perfect charcuterie board. If you appreciate quality cheese and great service, this place is a must-visit in Houston. We’ll definitely be back!

Hey.. I was literally walking down the street when I stumbled upon this lovely shop and happened to stop in. The friendly owner(or staff? Anyway she was really nice) offered me some samples of the cheese, and I fell in love with it so much I bought one of them right away. I hope this shop stays around for a long time. It's the best, professional and clean. I bought the Wisconsin Reserve Gouda Cheese, Aged 1,000+ Days. It is perfect to wine & beer for me. (Sorry, my photo is terrible lol)

A charming and welcome new shop to explore in rice village. As someone who’s just begun to explore fine cheeses, this place is quite exciting. 1. It’s a new shop to explore in my leisure walks around rice village 2. It has a very large and diverse selection of fine cheeses. Cheeses that I only expected to see on YouTube being reviewed by a cheese connoisseur, I’ve managed to locate here. Everything was very clean, as a place with food should be and the staff was friendly. If you’re also into a finer butter, they have Eschire French butter in the unsalted version (which I use for my brown butter holiday cookies and is difficult for me to find) which is a huge plus for me, albeit at quite a price tag. A small wine collection in the back and very friendly and professional staff in the front. I was greeted by Antonio, who was a tremendous help, and answered all of my questions. Most importantly, he showed me a presentation of their cheese boards which you can order to be arranged in different sizes. The thought of preparing my own is overwhelming and theirs seem so beautifully done. They blessed me with a taste of the available blue de chèvre, and while this isn’t a cheese review, it was delicious and made my day. Overall, they made a great first impression on me and I will be returning. I will note, this place seems to be like a deli of cheeses, and I didn’t notice seating (or very much space to) so expect more of a grab and go vibe to your visit.

Excellent food quality and each customer is happily waited on as if you are the only person that exists. What that means is sometimes there is a slight wait, but it's absolutely worth it. Cheese is fresh, artfully selected and hand-wrapped to ensure freshness. Nice selections of appropriate wines to pair with. I took one of my clients a nice selection of cheeses, bagette and a bottle of wine and his wife asked when my next visit would be! HIGHLY recommend.
