CF Personal Grooming

0 stars I have been bringing my dog to CF Grooming for several years and have never experienced anything like what happened during my most recent visit. I was suddenly told there was a “matting fee” being added to my bill — a fee I have never been charged before and was never informed about. When I politely asked for clarification and requested that the fee be waived since this had never been an issue in the past, the owner, Jeff, became extremely hostile. He began yelling at me, talking over me, and accusing me of threatening him simply because I stated that I would not be returning. At no point did I raise my voice or behave disrespectfully. I was calm and simply trying to understand the charge. As someone who has worked in customer service for over 20 years, I know how situations like this should be handled — with professionalism and clear communication. Instead, I was met with aggression and condescension. Jeff repeatedly emphasized that he is a business owner, which was irrelevant to my concern. My only request was transparency and basic courtesy. If this fee was new or documented, that could have been explained respectfully. Instead, I was made to feel uncomfortable and honestly intimidated. To make matters worse, he implied that I do not take care of my dog — who is nearly 20 years old and I still did not get a schnauzer cut.

My 7 month old Goldendoodle received her first grooming today and I’m absolutely in love. This was the best experience ever. I can definitely say this will be our forever home for grooming. I also plan to bring my yorkie here the next time. The customer service was beyond amazing from the time I booked over the phone until the time we walked out the door after my pups grooming. Did I mention I did not have to wait WEEKS before we were able to get an appointment. The overall experience exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to bring my fur babies back. By far this place has the sweetest staff! I took my sweet puppy (Bailey) for her first groom and they just showered her with love. 3 months later I made her second grooming appointment and as soon as we walked in they immediately remember her and called her by her name. You can just see their love for dogs. They speak so highly of their other doggie customers and know them by their names and personalities. They treat them like family. Not to mention what an amazing job they do. My sweet Bailey leaves looking fabulous.

Will not be back. Had a 1pm appt today, 8/14/22. Shitzu, for a full service groom summer cut. She was not ready for pickup until 4:30, I was told this was due to only one groomer being available. When I picked her up, she looked like someone had taken safety scissors to her legs. Her paw pads had not been shaved, nor her nails trimmed. Her ears had not even been lifted up to clean/brush, there are earwax crusties and greasy hair under her ears. There were also still some food crusties in her beard. I asked them to please fix the issues, but was told the groomer had left for the day. No offer was made for a partial refund. She said I could come back next week. I informed her I would not be back. I’ve never seen such a sad and lazy groom job before, and I’ve been getting my pup groomed for a decade now. These photos are from immediately after picking her up.

Be aware, the groomers at this place don't seem to have the right training to work on different dog breeds. I booked a trim and deshedding session for my samoyed girl. I gave specific instructions, and NO shaving, to the lady at the front desk who seemed to take notes. They said they will call me, but they never did. After 7 hours I stopped by to find out they were done a while ago. When they brought my dog to the front I was speechless from shock - she was completely shaved, and shaved sooo unevenly (this breed has an undercoat that will be destroyed if shaved). They had the common sense to at least not shave her tail. Also, my dog was still wet on top her head. Later in the day I noticed she got hurt and was bleeding from the top of her head, and they tried to cover it up by cleaning the blood. They did not inform me she was hurt. When she laid down I noticed she was full of scratches on her belly, probably from the shaving device. This is my horible experience with this place. If you have a large, long hair dog, do your dog a favor and don't bring them there. Please look at how my dog is supposed to look - with her long hair -and how they disrespected her - shaved and traumatized.
