I purchased 3 plates Monday night. The tenders were totally burnt. The wing plate was fine. The service here is normally good when the owner is in. However, I just wanted to bring awareness since I was told nothing could be done. Accountability would’ve been great. Just remember customer service goes a long way.

I’m so annoyed the food is far far one of the nastiest, salty, fried with old oil. Cheap quality, I’m from Chicago and this is trash!!! I can’t say anything but don’t eat from here!!

Utterly disgusting and disgusted! I should have went for sushi instead. The gizzards are clearly overcooked and I know the person who made this saw this before bagging it up. I actually raved to people about how good Captain Hooks was! Now I wouldn’t send my worst enemy! After working 10 hours I wanted a quick bite..but got bitten by burnt gizzards and looks like twice fried fries! I won’t be going back and I’ll spread the word to my associates not to either! This wasn’t even edible! All you can taste is burnt seasoning! I’m more than pissed!!

Not impressed. Saw this place on IG. Everything was cold by the time we got it and drove home (10 mins max). No flavor. My boyfriend liked the wings, but everything else was just not good. The coleslaw taste like fish, awful aftertaste. Shrimp was flimsy. Okra was abundant, but again, not seasoned. There was only one of each sauce even though we ordered 2 plates and multiple sides.

I paid $90 for a family platter of catfish and fries, with hush puppies and sodas added, and the fries were completely missing from my order. As soon as I noticed, I contacted Uber, and they told me I had to reach out to the restaurant directly due to their no-refund policy. When I called the restaurant, I was transferred to someone who showed zero customer service. There was no apology, no concern, and I was simply told to “call Uber.” I explained that I already did and that Uber specifically instructed me to contact the restaurant based on their policy, but it didn’t matter. I’ve usually had great experiences here, which makes this even more disappointing. The lack of accountability, care, and basic customer service was unacceptable, especially for a $90 order. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.
