Captain hooks fish and chicken

So today we were headed to Captain Ds and we passed up the entrance and as we were about to make a U-turn we saw this place so I quickly went to TikTok and saw a video of a guy who I follow called Hungry in Houston! And his review was spot on! If you want to try some delicious wings this is your place!

The food here is good, that's not the reason for the 1 star. The past 4 times I've tried to get food from here they have been "not taking orders". First couple times I figured maybe they just didn't have enough items. Now it's because they're "too busy". Well it's been the same person taking our order via drive thru every time. Right now we were told again that they weren't taking orders due to being "too busy". So, we entered the store and ordered and were able to place it without any issues. I wonder if management doesn't monitor the drive thru and that's why this employee feels comfortable rejecting orders he doesn't wish to put together. Tried to order a chopped cheese, was told the fryer wasn't working but apparently we could order okra, fried catfish and fried chicken. What is fried on a chopped cheese? Y'all need to get this dude out of the restaurant if you wanna keep business. He's messing y'all's reputation up, losing orders and messing w y'all's money because he's too lazy to work.

I love their wings omg! I ask for light seasoning and their fries are crispy on outside and soft in the middle. Their fried shrimp is good but was overcooked once. But overall I love them! I’ve gone three times in one week haha their fish is good as well but I love the wings. I love their mild sauce and hook sauce as well

I had a terrible experience at Captain Hook’s. The food was disgusting and overcooked. My kids normally love chicken, but they didn’t even want to eat it. The chicken was fried way too hard, and the shrimp was also overfried and hard to eat. When I walked in, I almost decided not to order because the tables were dirty, the bathroom was nasty, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. The staff presentation was also very unprofessional. One of the workers in the back had on a flowered sweatshirt, and the whole place just did not look clean or organized. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Don’t let appearances fool you — the food and the environment were not good at all.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Order buy one get one free one fish, 5 shrimp, and fry’s. Paid extra for Cole slaw, charged 2x for order of Cole slaw and none sent. No condiments, no tartar sauce, no ketchup, no cocktail sauce, no lemon. I called and talked with manager, he said call us next time and we’ll include what’s missing. You only paid for one Cole slaw. I told him to check the app, when you add one your charged for 2. Plus there’s no condiments. I complimented him on really good seafood and fry’s, but it ruins the experience with no condiments and the coleslaw that was charged for both orders. He hung up. Wow.. what a way to welcome a new customer with a compliment. UberEats only refunded the coleslaw charges, nothing for the lack of tartar sauce, ketchup, cocktail sauce, or lemon. Ruined a really good seafood experience. Order at your own risk
