They were incredibly rude to my husband when he went in to order. My husband asked for spinach and they told him he could not afford it. How judgemental and discriminatory? My husband said I assure you I can afford it, so they proceeded to make the sandwich. They charged him $2 to put spoiled, soggy and cross contaminated spinach on the sandwich. They laughed in the back as they were making it. So it's obvious this was completely intentional. My husband took one small bite and said it was definitely off. It also tasted spicy for a sandwich with no hot peppers or sauces. We were going to split this sandwich for lunch, but it was rancid and they added some kind of pepper juice to it or cross contaminated veggies. The sweet bell pepper had bad spots on it. The lettuce was soggy and going bad as well. And I don't even want to know what was on the piece of spinach pictured in this review. There were no sauces or dressing on the sandwich so the spinach should not have been that soggy. That's spoilage, that we were upcharged $2 for! It's not even about the money though. It's the integrity. I have severe health issues and a lot of allergies. You can't mess with peoples food like this. If I would have ate this I would have been very violently ill. This place needs to train their staff to be more mature and respectful to the customers. Your judgement and little pranks could kill someone with food sensitivities and allergies. It's not a game!! Health department needs to come train these people on cross contamination, safe food storage, allergies, proper produce washing, and what spoiled food looks like and when to toss it. Completely unacceptable. Returned food, didn't ask for a refund. It's not about the money. It's the lack of respect and lack kindness towards the customers. My husband and I have both worked in the food industry. Both have been certified in health and safety, with food handler managers licenses. I would never serve this to someone.

Brooklyn Pizzeria never disappoints! The pizza, pasta, and cannolis are all amazing always fresh, flavorful, and made just right. The service is excellent every time I dine in, and even when I order delivery, everything arrives hot and just as good as eating in the restaurant. I’ve been here a few times and it’s quickly become one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic, delicious Italian food!

The most rudest people I ever saw in my whole entire life whoever answers the phone always has an attitude or a smart remark everytime I order from here the food is either raw or undercooked and one occasion even had hair the meatballs are raw and the pizza crust I could’ve knocked someone out with how hard it was then I called to let them know and they was being very sarcastic and interested about it as if I was lying even tho I said I have photo proof and even offered for someone to come pick up the food back it took multiple calls to get my refund back which everytime I called insisting to speak to a manager it was like he’s non existent very rude very unprofessional I love all other locations very great pizza but the staff here really need better training it’s truly a shame because Brooklyns is a very well known pizza spot and it’s a shame for unprofessional young staff to be so rude to paying customers for absolute no reason do better Brooklyns (they refunded my meal but told me I had to pick it up since it was cash so today i was having a uber pick up my refund and some guy sounds very young and very unprofessional told me nobody can’t pick up the money but me it has to be me which literally makes zero sense then I told him I got refunds before in my life and I also worked for uber this happens all the time then he said well why do you get so many refunds) what is wrong with the staff at this location seriously

We love this pizza spot, we used to go to the one in Richmond until we noticed there's one closer to us on Fry Rd, so we decided to give it a try, we ordered a Brooklyn special, 4 slice of cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks and sodas everything was perfect until we found a hair in the pizza, we called the guy and with an attitude he said what do u want me to do? So he decided to give us another pizza and he said it would take 15 min and we said ok, we told him to take the pizza away, we don't want it anymore, he took it to the kitchen and after 5 min he came back with the pizza and said that it wasn't a hair it was from the mushrooms I didn't know mushrooms had long hair, so we decided to leave, we love this pizza, we go twice a month but now will think it twice to go to this location I think we can drive more and go to the one on Richmond.

If you're looking for NY pizza give Brooklyn a try. You won't see the oven and the glass case of different pies, but they do sell slices, and the crust has that awesome fold that just brings back memories. So how does Brooklyn Pizzeria measure up? You'll have to decide for yourself, but this NY transplant approves.
