Had high expectations but wasn’t too impressed. I liked the fact that they use chicken thighs in the sandwich. However, the sandwich bread and chicken was clearly stale. It seemed like they reheated a piece and gave it to us within 2-3 mins after ordering. The inside was lukewarm. We also asked for heat and I couldn’t taste anything. Perhaps it’s better on other days, but wasn’t too great for us.

Amazing chicken sandwich, the level of spicy was on point with the description, usually a “hot” option isn’t spicy at all but this had a nice kick to it. The fries were seasoned really good and a nice sauce on the side made it perfect! We also got the chicken tenders and they were very delicious! Even the bread slices were great, not to mention the cole slaw!

I'm still a little new to the hot chicken scene but this place is by far the best hot chicken I have had in Houston! The chicken was perfectly cooked, nice and juicy yet crispy skin and the spice level was perfect. I picked the 2nd from the hottest. I enjoy a good burn but have learned to pace myself and I'm glad I did because this heat is a fills up your whole mouth hot. But the flavor was delicious. Another great thing is other hot chicken places I have gone to give you super oily chicken and this one was not the tad bit oily. Would highly recommend if you're in downtown Houston!

I only had the chicken sandwich with no sides. I had the hot and asked if the diablo was too much, the worker said it can be but i tend to love spicy foods. The hot sandwich was pretty good and not that hot for my taste. The bun was buttery and the chicken was good, but not great. Also the chicken came in tenders, not a whole breast. Overall the sandwich was enjoyable and the Underground is a unique spot to enjoy with options.

Very good hot chicken sandwich. The reaper is actually spicy and the fries are great. Worth the trip to the underground food hall, especially for the Wednesday beer special
