Bauhaus Restaurant

Love this club. Been a couple of times and every time it has been great. Feels safe, very welcoming to different types of crowds and ages, lgbt+ friendly, etc. They never missed on the energy and vibe check. Bauhaus constantly features talents ranging from local artists to well-known performers. [Online] ticket prices have always been consistently good, you will get hours of entertainment at a great price. Though keep in mind in person/after hours prices may be higher, so plan accordingly. It’s primarily a EDM club, though depending on the artist performing, they may mix in other genres. This club is located at the bottom east of downtown core, so it’s walkable from the Toyota center district area, midtown, etc if you choose not to pay for the immediate parking lot next to the place.

Not sure if there is an elevator. We took the stairs to the second floor for the set. Years ago these events took place in the outside area that was accessible from the ground floor. I can't tell if they were just remodeling the ground floor or if it is permanently closed. Ground floor: security, entrance, cashier, pay/present tickets, and a few items for purchase from a glass case. Second floor: small couch at the top of the stairs. To the right= bar, stage, dance floor/standing room, private seating (for purchase), and bathrooms. To the left = an open outdoor patio (smoking allowed). No smoking inside but people were using vapes without an issue. I haven't been here in years. It seems they have been hit with some noise complaints over the years due to some new surrounding development. They didn't really crank up the WubDubz until like after midnight. Still had a great time. I danced for at least 4 hours.

If you’re even remotely into electronic music, especially deep house or tech house, then Bauhaus Houston isn’t just a place you should visit… it’s a place you have to experience. I’ve been coming here for years, and I can say without hesitation: this is hands-down the best spot in Houston for deep, immersive electronic music. There’s something almost hypnotic about the energy inside Bauhaus, the kind that pulls you in and makes time feel irrelevant. Every set feels intentional, layered, and deeply connected to the crowd, especially if you’re someone who appreciates those rich, melodic deep house vibes that hit both your body and your soul. What makes Bauhaus truly extraordinary is the atmosphere. It’s dark, intimate, and electric in a way that feels almost underground yet elevated. The crowd is there for the music, not distractions, and that alone creates such a rare and authentic experience. You can feel it the moment you walk in: this isn’t just another night out, it’s a shared escape. The sound system is flawless; crisp, powerful, and perfectly tuned so you feel every beat exactly the way it’s meant to be felt. Whether you’re dancing front and center or just vibing in your own world, the sound wraps around you like a pulse. Over the years, Bauhaus has stayed consistent in something that’s hard to find: authenticity. No bs, no watered-down sets, just pure, high-quality electronic music and an atmosphere that dominates. It’s the kind of place where you can lose yourself, find yourself, and feel a sense of community most of all. Houston has its spots… but nothing comes close to this. Bauhaus isn’t just a venue, it’s an experience, a ritual, a home for anyone and especially those who truly understands and loves electronic music.

cancelled my tickets without my authorization because they thought i was a scalper. In reality, i couldn't make the show anymore and was trying to sell my tickets at market price. I've been to many different venues and never experienced this before. It's funny that they think selling tickets at market value is scalping when they have their own price tiering system themselves. if they were truly all about the experience then you would keep one price for all regardless of when it was purchased, no?

My phone was stolen here and multiple of my friends' phones were stolen the SAME night. We had friends go MULTIPLE nights prior to us and had their phones stolen as well. Seems like there is a phone stealing problem at this club. Our phones were stolen near the end of the night when people were leaving the club and the night was winding down. Despite this, the staff would not let us turn on our friends' iPhone flashlights to look for our phones on the dance floor. My friends and I were very friendly, sober, and polite to all the staff and security. Despite this, each staff member would send us to someone else or be very dismissive, it was very clear that they did not want other club goers to hear us talk about our phones being stolen and quite frankly just didn't care (which is fine, we didn't expect staff members to care immensely, but being friendly would have been nice -- considering the cost of admission and drinks at this club). I went to the first floor to talk to the staff member at the front desk. When I explained that my phone had been stolen and asked if she had seen anything/anyone suspiciously exiting the club, she told me that no one had ever had their phone stolen from bauhouse. I then responded that I had just had my phone stolen to which she then started ignoring me. It was very disappointing to see staff members' reactions/attitude towards us. Considering that this seems like a common occurrence for phones to get stolen at Bauhaus, I would be wary of this club.
