I stayed in the hotel for a couple of nights, so visited cafe several times. Enjoyed dishes and service. Just want to ask: please, do not serve water in plastic in the evening.

It's a really great place to get a drink/ something to eat. Full transparency, the place gets a little crazy after baseball games. My hat is off to those security guards that have to bounce these idiots from the facility. Also, if you want to act like an idiot, perhaps a hotel bar is not the best location. I felt bad for the guys girlfriend who ws completely humiliated when she was thrown out too. I recommend the steak fries platter as it is really good and a decent value for a hotel meal. Pro tip - make sure you "fill out the card" to pay for your tab before you order. I accidently left without filling out the card and still feel bad about it. I owe Ash a tip....

We stayed at a nearby hotel and there was nothing within walking distance to feed our 9 -14 year olds(while keeping it under $100). The restaurant is inside the Westin hotel which was literally across the street from Minute Maid park. We stopped in a Friday evening while the game was about to finish and were worried it was gonna be filled with drunks, however there was plenty of police presence where the patrons were very well behaved. We compare all of our options to a Chilis, and the prices at Ballpark cafe were a few bucks over a Burger you get at chilis, but definitely not overpriced and full of more flavor. The wait staff kept going around refilling our waters and drinks and were very attentive and friendly. In total for our family of four, 2 burgers, a huge salad, a very tasty pasta and nachos for the appetizer, we paid $99. Very delicious and we enjoyed the staff, and the convenience from both our hotel and baseball field.

I’m extremely disappointed and hurt by the experience we had. From the moment we entered, we were met with judgmental stares and subtle hostility. A staff member made a comment suggesting that the restaurant was “probably too expensive” for us — an unprovoked and deeply inappropriate assumption that clearly stemmed from racial bias. We are Black, and there is no question in our minds that this comment, along with the overall microaggressive treatment we received, was racially motivated. This kind of profiling is unacceptable. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity regardless of their appearance. We came to enjoy a meal, not to be stereotyped and made to feel unwelcome. Restaurants like this need to be held accountable and take serious steps toward training their staff on implicit bias and anti-racism. Until then, we won’t be returning — and we encourage others to think carefully about the kind of environment they support with their money.

Stopped at the Ball Park Cafe before the savanna banana 🍌 game. Food and service were excellent and the location is very convenient.
