I visited Houston Chai N More (previously Austin Chai Wala) and had a very disappointing experience. The employee and owner had a really bad attitude. I ordered the Kashmiri chai — it was pale, watery, and tasted horrible. I don’t know how he’s running this business — no taste, just making money with no customer service or passion at all. Definitely not worth the $5 I spent. Save your money and go get Kashmiri chai from Filli, Yasmen Café, or somewhere else — you’ll thank yourself later. I left pictures for reference

Ordered a Kashmiri chai here And told them that I do not want it watery, and if they can make it Creamy. The lady on the cash register said yeah, it is gonna be creamy. When I ordered it, I was expecting them to take at least a minute or two before giving my order but I paid and within 10 seconds ( I’m not even exaggerating ) I got a cup of tea ready. I still didn’t have any problem until this point, but when I tasted the tea, it was as watery as it could be. I went back and told them that I asked for it to be a little bit Creamy and even asked if they could make a new one Review Pura, the lady at the Cash register was rolling her eyes as if I ask something extraordinary for her to do than a few seconds later the chef comes out and says I’ve been doing this for a long time and everyone likes it. I don’t know why you guys didn’t.. I tried to explain it to him that it is not according to my taste buds, and I specifically asked for something else and got something else. I have also worked in the food industry, and I know how to deal with customers and it definitely wasn’t how they are dealing. I am the type of person who would always want to support local businesses, but if this is the type of attitude, I’m gonna be getting from them and no type of Fix Then, unfortunately, they won’t have mine or My acquaintances business.

Bun kabab (skip the ketchup) 👍 Kashmiri chai 👍 Austin chai wala at Moosa Colony Food Trucks became the seventh stop on our Houston food tour. Ahsan, the owner, greeted us with wonderful hospitality. We decided to try the traditional bun kabab, which features a beef shami kabab wrapped in egg batter and shallow-fried, accompanied by chutney, tomatoes, and onions. While we enjoyed the shami kabab and its accompaniments, the unexpected addition of ketchup was a surprise, as it's not part of the traditional Karachi bun kabab recipe. If I had known, I would have requested to omit the ketchup. We also had the Kashmiri chai which was pretty good. Beyond the ketchup mishap, the shami kabab itself tasted quite good. I'm willing to give Austin Chai Wala another chance in the future, but this time without the ketchup. This is part of the lively and electric atmosphere at Moosa Colony Food Trucks, making it a fun spot to enjoy late into the night.

1/5 Very disappointing experience. I tried their bun kabab since that was the only item available at the time. It took 30 minutes just to prepare, and when it finally came out, it was stale and poorly made. The buns were dry and hard, and the patty itself was dry and hard to swallow. We were a group of 6 and none of us were satisfied—safe to say they’ve lost 6 customers today. Definitely not coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money here.

Nice little spot for chai in Sugar Land. The Kashmiri chai was flavorful but could have been a bit hotter. Loved the cozy setup and friendly staff. I will be back to try their rolls next time.
