My experience at Bouzy, a French restaurant, has been clear, honest, and overall very positive. I have visited the restaurant on two occasions. I would like to begin by highlighting several dishes that were truly excellent. The escargots were very well prepared and flavorful—exactly what one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The charcuterie board was also outstanding, well balanced and thoughtfully assembled. As appetizers, the watermelon tuna sashimi was exceptional, and the grilled marinated octopus was equally impressive. The airline chicken breast was another standout dish, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The only disappointing experience occurred during my first visit with the lamb chops. I ordered them medium, but they were cooked to an excessively high temperature, resulting in an unpleasant texture and preparation. The execution felt incorrect, almost as if the dish had been deep-fried rather than properly cooked and presented as one would expect. While I did point this out to the server, I chose not to send the dish back. My 12-year-old daughter was already hungry and did not object to the plate, and I did not want to create an uncomfortable situation. This was the sole negative aspect of that visit. Everything else during both visits was excellent. The wine list, in particular, deserves special mention—prices are surprisingly low, even exceptionally reasonable by restaurant standards. This is especially noteworthy given my frequent dining experiences and familiarity with wine pricing at similar establishments. On my second visit, I returned for a lighter dinner accompanied by a good bottle of wine, and once again, the experience was very enjoyable. I also noticed that the lamb chops were no longer on the menu. While I cannot say for certain why, it is possible that the dish was either not popular or had consistency issues in preparation. Despite that single negative experience, it has not deterred me from returning. Overall, Bouzy remains a restaurant I recommend, offering strong execution across most of its menu, an excellent wine program, and an experience well worth revisiting.

I’ve heard so much about this place that I expected a lot. Everything was just ok. We ordered the popcorn shrimp (which was limp), the crab avocado (not bad), French onion soup, and fish! The French fries were outstanding and the desserts were good.

I had my birthday dinner there and the team was amazing. Christiana was awesome, attentive, patient, friendly, kind, took great initiative which showed how experienced she was. Thank you Christiana and the team for helping make my day grand. The food was really good except the profiteroles not so great, nevertheless a great outing and quite a few of my guests said they now have a new spot to check out some other time.

Valet parking only! Cost was $6. I appreciated that they accommodated me since I have a custom pincode kill switch on my truck. Key cloning-vehicle thefts are too common these days. Only I can operate my truck, and the valet guys let me park it myself and retrieve it after dinner with my family. I left an extra tip for that. Anyway, make a reservation weeks in advance if you want a stress free experience. The restaurant markets itself as Modern French, and I’d say it’s definitely Modern French with a seafood centric focus. The food was delicious and well seasoned, with a variety of rich buttery sauces for the shellfish dishes. They didn’t pour our waters or get the drinks right away, and our waitress, I believe her name was Christina, kept apologizing. I honestly didn’t even notice because I’ve had way worse at other high end spots. It was a packed Mother’s Day and I thought she handled it well. She was also sweet and kind throughout the service. Once we ordered, the food and drinks came out fast.

I know this restaurant has been around for a bit, but it's still lovely to look at on the inside. The decor is a mix of French and modern but not too overdone. You can tell it is a place where people want to take pics and upload to reels on busy nights. I had wanted to try this for some time but finally made it out. My fiancé and I came for bunch this last Sunday. The female hostess and manager at the door greeted us and were so nice. We proceeded to order pommes frites to start with which were to die for. Nice and crispy but a good amount of greasiness, most likely from the duck fat. The corned beef hash was nice as well. The waitress was excellent, I didn't catch her name but she was a blonde lady and very sweet. My review is brief for this reason. We had intended to have a full brunch experience when we arrived, I had even looked over the menu before. However, the table that they sat us at was directly in front of the raw bar where the oysters and other cold seafood was. Well, I knew they had a great oyster program, so as we were looking over the menu, we saw at the raw bar, I noticed both cooks did not have any gloves on. They proceeded to make all the food touching various things that were not food with their bare hands plus the oysters and crackers, and occasionally wiping their hands on their aprons. My fiancé is sous chef and has worked at some pretty high end places. He told me that they should be wearing gloves because it's against health code. Not only that, I saw the female cook take a bite of a cracker while preparing food. To top things off, she also had brought a bucket of ice, the same ones I saw the bar use, and had placed it ON TOP of the raw oysters. It pretty much just sat ON TOP of the oysters the entire time we were there. We didn't really say anything while we were there, but it concerns me that the same ice bucket used for ice for cocktails, it's probably the same bucket used for the seafood, and while the ice is inside the container, I don't think it's within the health code to sit on top of raw oysters. So yes, the sanitary issues did concern us and we paid our tab and left. While the restaurant is beautiful, and I definitely see the appeal aesthetically, I would be concerned about eating there seeing what we did and who knows what practices or health code staff issues goes on in the kitchen. Perhaps, just comeback and drink wine since there's not ice situation involved.
