Fast Service, Generous Portions — A Reliable Go-To for Casual Dining ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5) I’ve visited this restaurant a few times over the past few years, and it’s always a consistently solid experience. The food comes out quickly, and the portion sizes are generous—definitely a good value for the price. While they don’t have a designated kids’ menu, they’re happy to accommodate children with options like vegetable or chicken lo mein, which is great if you’re dining with little ones. The pork dumplings are a standout appetizer—flavorful and just the right portion to share. They also offer a wide variety of sushi, bento boxes, and other Asian-inspired appetizers, so there’s something for everyone. The setting is casual with low lighting, which makes it feel relaxed but still inviting. Service is excellent—staff are attentive and quick, and they always offer to package up leftovers for you. I really enjoyed the hot and sour soup, one of my favorites. My only critique would be the amount of tofu—I would’ve liked to see larger or more generous pieces, similar to what I’ve received at other restaurants. Parking can be a bit limited since it’s located in a shopping strip shared with other businesses, but that’s the only real inconvenience. Final thoughts: A great spot for a quick, satisfying meal with friendly service. We’ll definitely continue coming back whenever we’re in the area.

Akashi's has been our go to for Chinese, Japanese, and Sushi for our family. Wait staff is always super friendly. Baked Salmon Roll and SkyDriver Roll our 2 of our favorites, Hot and Sour soup is the best around, and their bento box with teriyaki and tempura shrimp is also great!

The Salmon and Yellowtail Sashimi is fresh and savory. I would also recommend the Crunchy Dynamite Roll and the Texan Giant Roll for the Maki fans. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. I would definitely dine at this location again. Would highly recommend anyone in the Katy area give Akashi Sushi a shot!

We were in the mood for some Chinese / Japanese food and decided to try out Akashi. They definitely have lots of food options for both Chinese and Japanese. We ordered the Veggie lowmein, general Tao chicken with fried rice, spicy tuna and salmon rolls. Food was good. Service was excellent. We had a late lunch so the place was relatively empty (on a Saturday).

The food was pretty good. the service was nice and the staff was very friendly! I rate it 4 stars because we ordered drinks and they weren't all that great I had the lemon drop and we also got another drink that really wasn't all that great either but that did not stop us from enjoying the over all experience I would go back they have a huge variety of options on the menu!
