Uncovered another charming coffee spot! I found Anges by accident driving thru the area and decided to stop. The staff was welcoming and the place gave way to a charming, cozy, and inviting establishment. I wasn’t all sure what they served but to my amazement it went well beyond the coffee cup. The menu was packed with real food and extended to a variety of pastries. The coffee is great with refills for free! (I’m big on that!) The avocado toast I order was delicious too! They provide seating inside & out with a variety of things you can purchase. I propose you put Agnes on your list of places to visit!! Happy Eating 🍽️

I really didn't like this place. Over priced food that wasn't very good. I had the curry chicken sandwich which was both lacking flavor and gross with raisins in it. It was on 2 pieces of normal toasted white sandwich bread and they did that thing they do in grocery stores where it looks like its a full sandwich but really they just fill up the front and the back is empty. My 'side salad" was nothing but leaves.

My husband and I went to Agnes for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 9am. The store itself is super cute and has a nice grocery section with a well curated selection of treats, wine, olive oil, cheese, snacks etc. There was no one in line ahead of us when we placed our order at the register and the food came out fairly quickly. I ordered the yogurt with baklava granola and a side of berries while my husband ordered the avocado toast. The yogurt was fairly standard and served with a large portion of unsweetened yogurt and a small portion of the granola with honey on the side, but I wouldn’t have been mad about a little bit more granola. My husband enjoyed the avocado toast. Overall, the atmosphere here is great and I enjoyed the retail section a lot, but the food for me was good not outstanding.

Ok... there's so much about this place that I really like that it kind of pains me to give it a 3 star review--but all of this is in the spirit of constructive criticism, because I think if they just fixed a few simple things, this would become an easy 5 stars! As a disclaimer, I have and will continue to come here in spite of everything I'm about to say. With that said, here's my rant: 1. Asking me to pay $2.50 extra for a single extra shot of espresso feels absurd. I think a triple-shot latte for at or under $6 is a pretty reasonable ask even if you're using high-end beans; the fact that with this order you're already pushing 10 bucks is stupid. There are some other awkwardly priced menu items, and clearly the target audience here is people who pretty much don't care about how much things cost--but while most menu items are good, many don't feel like they're quite worth the price. The extra shot just seems like the worst offender in terms of how much of a physically painful rip-off it feels like. That's not to say that I think food menu prices need to go down, but considering the price point I do wish there were a bit more noticeable effort/creativity that went into menu design, the cooking, etc! 2. Please, please stay open until 10 or 11 on Friday/Saturday! The kitchen closing by 9 is fine, but I feel like the bar is great and it's a waste for it not to be a more lively after-dinner destination. Adding a happy hour would be nice too! 3. Could they just include bacon or sausage in the eggs & toast breakfast option? That... just feels like a pretty bare minimum of what one expects on a breakfast menu, no matter the "food genre." Oh, and I really think they'd do well with some kind of eggs benedict, too! 4. Something about the atmosphere feels slightly off. I don't think I've ever seen the place full. Maybe the music could be better? Actually, if they had live music maybe once or twice a month, that'd be really nice. 5. I wish they could up their pastry game, even just a little bit. Most of the time there's just not much variety in the case. Their brownies are great though! I feel like I should say positive stuff too, so the actual quality of the coffee drinks is great! I love the ice that goes in the iced beverages. Most of the food is quite good. The little grocery area is cool too. And the interior design is great! I don't expect this to go anywhere, but I would assume that at least some other customers feel similarly, so maybe they'll listen to some of it :)
