I would like to begin by saying, this restaurant should be removed immediately from all delivery services. Secondly this has to be the easiest scams. What you see in the photos below is $19 dollars + fees and tax + tip Like I thought it was a joke. I’m seriously confused if this was a mistake or did I pay that much money for leftovers? Even the meat was like an insult.

My first visit was yesterday and it was not a good experience and needless to say I won’t be back. I ordered okra, goat, and pounded yam. The menu priced it at 24.99 + 1.75 for the swallow. When I got my bill it was $33. The manager tried to convince me that’s what I needed to pay since their prices increased as well as the goat. As a business owner, you have to ensure your menu prices match today’s price and/or ensure your servers give the disclaimer before the customer orders until your menus are reprinted. After waiting for long they still had trouble making the adjustment to give me the listed price and had the audacity to try to give me the same bill to pay as if I’m stupid and can’t calculate the cost and tax! The issue is that many people (especially Nigerians even in Nigeria don’t question or don’t know to question being overcharged. It’s a foul practice of Store owners. In addition to that bad poor impression the quantity of food definitely did not justify the high price point. I can get much more for $2.00 in Lagos. Taste of Nigeria served a lunch size serving at a full dinner price and you really ought to do better and stop being stingy. The only good thing about my experience is the goat was tender. The okra was a bit too slimy….just like the overall experience. Look at this rubbish.

My coworkers and I ordered this place to go. It was our first experience trying Nigerian food. Starting with the customer service… we were asking a million questions over the phone and Esther was so nice and patient very helpful and she explained everything to us. We arrived the atmosphere there was great. It was clean and a good vibe inside the restaurant. They were happy to see us and were very nice and welcoming. We brang the food back to the office and tried it… everything was so good. We ordered a few things to try. My favorite being the jollof rice with plantain and spinach on the side and the egosi soup with goat meat. I also loved the beef that came with the okra soup by itself was so good and flavorful. Overall I rate this place a 10/10. 100 stars if I could. Lol

I recently ordered the egusi and goat with pounded yam from Taste of Nigeria, and it was really good! The egusi had really authentic taste and reminded me of home and the goat was really tender. The pounded yam had the perfect texture and everything tasted fresh. The customer service was also great everyone was friendly and made sure my order was right. You can really tell they care about their food and their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back for more
