The Big Easy Social and Pleasure Club remains one of Houston’s true homes for live blues, and the night with Steve Krase showed exactly why. From the moment the band started, the room had the kind of energy that makes a live venue memorable. Steve Krase delivered a strong set, blending sharp harmonica work, confident vocals, and a stage presence that immediately connected with the audience. The band behind him was equally impressive, tight, responsive, and full of character, giving every song depth and momentum. What stands out most about The Big Easy is the atmosphere. It feels authentic, relaxed, and built for music first. The room is intimate enough that you feel close to the performers, yet lively enough that the crowd becomes part of the show. People were engaged, smiling, moving with the rhythm, and clearly there for the music rather than distraction. The audience itself added something special, creating a warm and welcoming mood throughout the evening. This is the kind of place where great musicians and a great crowd lift each other. If you want real Houston blues, strong live performance, and a venue with soul, The Big Easy delivers every time. 🎷🎶🍷

I love The Big Easy! John Calderon is awesome! Service at the bar is always on point. And great crowd and vibe. But the music… The music is the best!

Been 20 years or so since I've here. Man, I've been missing out on a great Blues scene. Still the same awesome place. Today was the annual Blues for Food food drive and fund raiser. Great and wonderful crowd opening their hearts and having a fun time for a great cause. I'm not going to wait until next to return. Check the calendar online for events and musicians. This is a must visit in Houston.

An excellent live blues experience within a dive bar ambiance! The bartenders are friendly and make some great New Orleans style cocktails. If you enjoy live music and some good company, I highly recommend stopping by for a drink and some good times!

Just a fun all around place to be if you like live blues, zydeco, and other music. Its not a big place, but gives you the old spot feeling and what youd expect for a blues lounge.
