This is a world class venue with excellent performances routinely. It’s the type of gorgeous venue you would expect in Houston. The gallery and upper gallery are still very good seats with a nice view. The sound is what it should be…great. The concessions are adequate and the facilities are very nice. The staff is absolutely terrific and helpful no matter where you are.

My daughter has discovered the theater, musicals are her new favorite thing. We have come to the hobby center to see Hamilton and the Outsiders. Our first time here together, we ate at the snack area, and everything was very expensive, and nothing was absolutely delicious that it was worth the cost. So when we went for the outsiders, we left home early, parked at hobby center and walked to dinner, Birraparretes was a 10min walk and so worth it. We used gps walk feature and it got us right there and back, in plenty of time to get in line for the merchandise sale! Don't forget to stay after outside by the cast exit door and get your autographs!!! And have fun my daughter loves to dress up as a character 💕

Review for American Psycho! TL;DR definitely go see it! Parking was very easy in the Hobby Garage for $20. Thankfully, a nice gentleman working outside pointed us towards the correct entrance. We arrived about 30 minutes early and got our tickets from Will Call with no issues, taking some photos of the 80's memorabilia outside. It was easy to find our way to the upstairs seats in the Left Mezzanine. I don't think there are really any bad seats in the theater; I could clearly hear and see everything. The show itself was longer than expected (ended around 10:30PM) but it was so much fun. I went in blind, having not seen American Psycho, and it was definitely inspiration to go watch the movie. The actors and musicians were top notch, the scene transitions were smooth, and they used lightning to highlight movement extremely well. A few minor camera jostles here and there and I think the Detective's microphone was a tad lower but overall, an amazing production for one of their first showings!

Excellent venue. Helpful staff. Beautifully maintained premises. We tried out membership/season tickets for the production lineup last year and thoroughly enjoy being members. All of the shows are well done and I'm consistently impressed with everything we've experienced thus far. Keep up the great work, Hobby Center!

Saw The Great Gatsby A New Musical tonight. The staging, props, costumes writing and musical numbers were great and very eye catching. The performers were very talented however in the more high energy numbers their voices and lyrics were drowned out by the music making it hard to understand and at times hard on the ears. The performer who played Nick was great! He was not awkward and annoying as Tobey Maguire in the movie. He had a lot of Jonathan Groff qualities. The staff working Hobby Center tonight were extremely helpful, attentive, and friendly. Kathleen on the 6th floor was a great usher as was the lady on the opposite end with glasses. The elevator attendant with short hair and glasses was also very professional as was the male bartender on the 5th floor.
