Poor ventilation (HVAC) design in their apartment buildings. Central air intended for the corridor, flows heavily into individual units through vents, negatively impacting residents by pushing air at unwanted temperatures into their homes, and creating a highly uncomfortable home environment for them. In addition, most of the apartment units they design do not have a mud room or entryway closet, but an entrance directly into the kitchen, which is not functional, as outside dirt and debris go everywhere. It would improve functionality if the entry door opened toward a mudroom, where shoes can be removed, bags and jackets can be put down, and then everything else is accessible cleanly. Their buildings typically do not have balcony storage, which would be a quick and easy way to place extra boxes and seasonal items.
