Years of experience yet could only find a few family members to give him 5 stars. Don't use an old high school friend especially when it's under duress and your disabled and married 30 years. One pro-bono doesn't mean free so make sure you are aware that you are going to max out every credit card for court filings. And you are going to be rushed through the process because he certainly doesn't want to roll his sleeves up and fight for free. I have called countless times over several years and not once has he gotten on the phone or returned the calls. And it's simple to find out in the state of Texas if you are permanently disabled and don't even have to get recertification until death that the spouse is responsible to pay spousal support for your lifetime. And she altered key aspects of the decree without the courts permission which greatly reduced the division of assets. And Texas is no different than California after the number of years you can look at it as a 50/50 division of assets. But, I have read many various review sites and seen that he's less harse on a female. And the other attorney essentially knew way more than he did and managed to hide an inheritance and other assets from safety deposit boxes and I really was going through hell from a devastating brain injury a year prior that hindered me from being able to try and explain myself. And her original motion was so cruel that I was thrown off guard by her false claims. I have never harmed any member of my family or had any law enforcement ever knock on the door. My biggest problem was a speeding ticket from 1990 and I have definitely never broken any laws in my lifetime. Needless to say she never did anything ordered in the decree and my disabilities have reached the point of needing around the clock assisted living. But, even if he has no obligation to see that the decree was fulfilled he could have at least got on the phone and given direction to how I can get help from Harris County. Maybe because he's a staunch liberal or just doesn't care. Nonetheless I have been on life support and barely survived twice in the past 2 years plus 5 times in ICU. Without AI I would have trouble even getting this much on a page much less verbally because of my cognitive decline.

Had a great experience with this law firm. They were kind and understanding when it mattered. While I wasn't always good at calling them back in a timely manner, they were!!

MEN if you are the higher wage earner, even if you are retirement age, DO NOT agree to binding arbitration with Haston Law Firm or anyone else or you will walk away with only 20%-30% of the value. If you look at the distribution of his reviews, more of the positive reviews are women, and more of the negative reviews are men. I went into this arbitration to divide up personal household effects in a positive way based on the mediation process with Craig, but ended up wasting my time and my money. It was like my requests and justification went in one ear and out the other, as if I was only a ghost in the room. Craig expropriated most of the value and most of the contents of the household effects to my ex spouse (70% of contents and 80+% of value). This "rubber stamped" list includes many items that were dear to me resulting from my first international work assignment that kicked off my international career. So much are one of a kind and not replaceable. The most expensive art, rugs, and asian hardwood furniture he awarded 100% to my ex spouse. The arbitration award is not even logical, for example he awarded her so much of the household effects she will not be able to afford the sq ft of a house needed to hold it all. Maybe he has been in the divorce system for so long he became just a cog in a system biased against men that he is no longer capable of thinking that fair and equitable can mean 50/50. The person harmed by this outcome is my 11 year old son who has dyslexia. Since my ex-spouse said she will not pay any of the special education my son needs, it will fall 100% on me and I can no longer afford the special schooling now, because I have to repurchase what was expropriated so I can provide reasonable living accommodations during my possession time.

Craig Huston is an excellent attorney.Absolutely invaluable life saver amongst a "sea of sharks". He has a bias to resolve matters in a non-adversarial manner, but will represent his clients with strength, professionalism and attention to detail as necessary. I'm very grateful for his counsel, empathy and assurance in my divorce process. I was much better off for having had him in my corner. I would highly recommend Craig to anyone who needs wise and compassionate counsel through the divorce process.
