Kanaiya deserves her flowers!! I came for a silk press and trim and she clearly did a amazing job 😍😍I think she’s great if you’re not sure what exactly you’re hair needs but want something cute she’s very knowledgeable and sweet. The atmosphere was clean and everyone was so respectful and nice. I have no negative comments at all!! 10/10 highly recommended 🥂

I visited this salon today and was excited to get my hair done. When I walked in, it was beautifully decorated with great R&B music playing. My appointment was booked for 2:00 PM, but my stylist didn’t begin until around 2:20 PM. My hair is 100% natural, and I only get silk presses about 1–2 times a year. The stylist made a comment saying, “Oh, so you’re not heat trained?” which I responded no to. She then asked how long my silk presses usually last. I told her about a month or longer and that I’ve never had any issues. Both of these questions were red flags to me. A confident stylist should be able to work with all hair types, and it made me feel like she already assumed my silk press wouldn’t last 🚩. When I took my hair out of the bun it was in, the stylist looked through my scalp and said I wasn’t detangled and that I was supposed to arrive detangled. She then told me there would be an additional $55 charge just to detangle my hair. I was honestly shocked. I explained that this was not listed anywhere on the website when I booked my appointment, but she insisted that it was. I told her I could detangle it myself, but she said I would have to do it outside of the salon or in my car. She then brought the manager over. After speaking privately, the manager confirmed the $55 fee and also stated that it “wouldn’t look good to other clients” if I were detangling my hair inside the salon. When I asked why the fee was so expensive, she said it was because they are a “quick service” salon. She then suggested that I pay for the detangling and rebook the silk press for another day. To be clear, my issue was not with the stylist or the manager personally — it was with the ridiculous policy and the lack of transparency. None of this was clearly communicated upfront during booking. At that point, I thanked my stylist, grabbed my things, and left. Needless to say, I will never be returning. This was a complete waste of my time, and the salon should clearly disclose these policies before appointments. If you decide to try this salon, definitely keep the detangling fee in mind.

I’ve been watching The Blow Dry Bar on Instagram for several months, and I must say—I was not disappointed! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile, and the ambiance and vibe were everything. Kanaiya did my hair and I am beyond impressed—I absolutely love it!!!!! Kadijah was the perfect host and made the experience even better. I know you’re not supposed to have fun at your hair appointment, but I had an amazing time 😂. This was truly the perfect way to unwind after a stressful work week. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend The Blow Dry Bar! 💕✨

An absolutely amazing experience. Ask for Kanaiya when you book! She took such great care of my curls! The process was smooth, she offered loads of tips, hair turned out amazing and I received loads of compliments! Plus she is also so sweet! Will most definitely be back whenever I’m in Houston!

Liberty, you were so great!! Thank you so much! When I first got there there was a lady at the desk, thy welcomed me and gave me a drinky drink 🥂 liberty was so sweet, made me feel so comfortable, and the service was great. We didn’t do a protein treatment bc they ran out of it but she substituted it for a deep leave in conditioner with the steamer(adjusted my price ). I got a cut/trim with my silk press She was very gentle and gave me some advice on how to take care of my hair. Everyone was very sweet and had great customer service 💖💕
