It all started when I got a signal from the Tesla app that an electrical issue is causing the solar panels to not generate power. I went through their troubleshooting and found that an arc fault is the issue. They scheduled my repair a month from that date. Luckily, they called back and said there was an appointment 3 weeks instead. I approved and the new repair date was March 30. The crew came at looked and researched the problem. They found out it was one panel that failed and caused the issue. I talked to the technician and he showed me pictures of the broken panel. It was burnt and looked like an electrical issue. He told me that it was probably a module that caused the failure. After they removed the panel and rearranged the other panel configuration a young man came talked to me about the next steps. He said the system is working without the broken panel and the panel would be replaced. I assumed it was the fault of the equipment and it was covered under the warranty. Then, the app sent me a service work order for $1220.58 for the damaged panel. I called to the warranty team and talked to Kelly about it. She said she will talk to the field manager about this and let me know. Then, I get this email stating that it was impact damage. I sent another email to their resolutions team stating that I want proof and photos of the damage. I told them there was no communication from their repair team saying it was an impact damage or showing me the damage. I looked and saw no object around the damaged panel. It didn’t hail during this time. I don’t see how it could have been impact damage. It has been like 5 days since I heard from them and still no proof or photos have been given. Why not just give me photos of the damaged panel and put this to rest? Because they are trying to get money out of me. Luckily, I opt out of their arbitration clause and can take them to court. I will update you all on the outcome. The best advice to any new customers is expect the worst shitty service from this company. Sure they have great technology at a good price but you will get horrible service. Also, if you get solar panels and powerwall from Tesla write a post marked and tracked letter of opt out arbitration clause within 30 days of either the sale or installation of products. Check the contract to make sure of which provision. Lastly, make sure you take pictures of repairs and document the damaged equipment. I wish I did this and took photos of the damaged panel. This would definitely put down any bullshit they can come up with that it is not the fault of the equipment.

Exceptional install, usage, and tech experience. When I think of what would be nice, or have questions, Tesla has already thought of it… sometimes I have to get an answer from Grok though…. Love it.

The panels look great, installation was smooth and professional. Performance is good too, and the battery backup is seamless, we don't even notice the power go out.

Powerwall has provided backup power for intermittent and short outages faultlessly for 3 years.
