Welcome to “Surprise Pricing: The Experience” I made a reservation online at a perfectly reasonable price and showed up thinking I was… renting a car. Rookie mistake. Immediately, I was informed—by someone clearly auditioning for Most Condescending Tone of the Year—that despite having valid non-owner’s insurance, I would be required to buy theirs for $38 per day. Apparently insurance only counts if they sell it to you. Next plot twist: my company debit card, which works everywhere else in the modern world, was suddenly unacceptable. This detail was never mentioned during the reservation, but surprises seem to be the theme here. Now for the math lesson: Original quote: $271 for the week Final “total”: $989 for the week Vehicle: a Camry that has clearly lived a full and emotionally challenging life Almost $1,000 for a Camry that looked like it should qualify for a senior discount. At that point I assumed it was a collector’s item. It was not. I declined the opportunity to be financially humbled and went to Budget, where I rented a Tesla the same day. No attitude. No forced add-ons. Same card accepted without hesitation. $294 total. If you enjoy: ✔️ Surprise rules ✔️ Magical price inflation ✔️ Being talked down to for asking normal questions Then this place might be for you. If you prefer transparency, professionalism, and numbers that don’t randomly triple — look elsewhere. Elite?😵‍💫 They wanted elite pricing for a Camry that looks like it survived three owners, two breakups, and a questionable oil change schedule Such an unbelievable odd experience. 998.00 dollars 😂 please people avoid this place.

I'm renting now from Elite off Westheimer (10001 Westheimer). Juan Miguel greeted me very nicely and has been quiet helpful. If you are in need of a rental, their prices are very reasonable.
