First cut with Mikey at Cut Throat on Washington and I’m officially locked in. I’ve been growing my hair out and honestly had no clue what direction to take it. Mikey took the time to walk me through everything, explain what would work best, and guide me instead of just rushing into a cut. I gave him full trust and he absolutely delivered. Clean, intentional work that keeps the growth looking sharp instead of awkward. You can tell he really knows his craft. On top of that, he’s a good friend of mine, so it was a great time catching up and even better seeing how much he’s grown in his craft and in his space. Proud of him. The shop is super chill, classic chairs, vintage vibe, even free beer while you wait. And when your barber hits that wide stance, you already know it’s about to go down. Highly recommend Mikey if you want someone knowledgeable who genuinely cares and takes pride in what he does.

After visiting Mikey a couple times my coworker asks me one evening at work, “Is your barber black!? Because he shapes your hair to match your bone structure really good.” CTB Washington and Mikey are top notch!

I’ve been going to Thomas at Cutthroat for over 8 years now, and every single visit reminds me why I keep coming back. Thomas has my haircut down to a science—he nails the part every time, making sure it’s sharp, natural, and exactly how I like it without me having to say a word. But it’s not just the precision; the conversations are always top-notch, whether we’re chatting about sports, life, or whatever’s in the news. It’s like catching up with an old friend while getting a flawless cut. I’ve been going to Cutthroat Barbers on Washington for almost a decade, and I can’t recommend this place enough. The barbers here are highly skilled, and the fact that many of them have such long tenure says a lot about the quality of the shop and the great working environment they’ve built. Danny has been my barber for nearly ten years and he always gets my hair exactly right - consistent, detailed, and professional every single time. I’ve also seen plenty of cuts by, Tommy, Danny’s neighbor, and can vouch he’s just as skilled and dialed in. From day one, everyone on staff has made me feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and just an overall great place to be. If you’re looking for a barbershop you can stick with long term, this is it.

I went to cut throat to have my hair cut / freshened up and decided to go with Mikey as the barber of choice. He did a fantastic job on the taper fade based on the feedback I provided to him prior to the cut. He was very patient in trying to understand what I was envisioning and we even struck up a nice conversation about various hobbies and cars. Overall, highly recommended and would definitely suggest Mikey / Cut Throat to anyone seeking a high quality cut
