I have been a loyal client at Cutthroat for nearly two years, but after my experience today, I will not be returning. I want to preface this by saying that my usual barber, Abbey, is truly amazing and it has been a pleasure watching her grow in her craft. However, the inconsistency of the shop as a whole has become impossible to ignore. On multiple occasions with a previous barber, I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time to get in the chair, which caused me to be late to other commitments and incur no-show fees due to the lack of punctuality. The service standards are also highly inconsistent; I’ve been charged various prices for the same service and have received conflicting explanations on how to book my appointments. Today was the final straw. With Abbey fully booked, I saw another barber who I was assured was excellent, but I received one of the worst beard trims I’ve ever had. It is completely uneven, not lined up, and I’m left with random hair that should have been shaved. It’s New Year’s Eve, and instead of feeling confident for my plans, I’m disheartened that I have to go home and attempt to fix this myself. Furthermore, the atmosphere has become a hindrance to the service; when the music is so loud that you can’t hear the barber asking questions, it’s no surprise that the results are lacking. While the staff is lovely, the shop needs to enforce its own policies on punctuality for its staff and standardize its technical execution. For a premium shop, the level of reliability and basic hospitality should be a given, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case here. I wish you all the best.

My barber is great, but I ALWAYS wait despite scheduling an appointment. I've waited up to 30 minutes. Perhaps the clients that came before me were late which cascaded down. The barber I use is fantastic and I don't want him to feel rushed. Perhaps more time needs to be allotted per appointment. I feel like they need to implement something that requires people to arrive within the first 10 minutes of their appointment or something. I'm going to need to find a new place.

Always have a great experience with Enrique! Great conversations, remembers the cut I get, always a positive attitude, and knows when I want a silent cut. The overall vibe of the shop is great from the music to the refreshments. Would highly recommend him and this shop!
