Horrible branch. I came in at 4:20. Right behind another man. He was helped right away. I was told I would be helped right after him and to sit in the waiting area. 10 minutes later, he walked out. I sat there looking at the empty office of the person (Timothy) I was told was gonna help me by Merey. He just sat there playing on his phone. I kept watching the time go by. 5:05 PM the woman comes up to me and says “could you schedule an appt instead”. Are you kidding me. I sat there for 40 minutes just for you to tell me to set an appointment instead? Nice. Never coming here again

Tried to open a bank account online and the experience was incredibly frustrating. One particularly absurd issue: their website only accepts email addresses ending in .com. This means perfectly valid professional domains like .energy or .ai are rejected, yet free consumer emails like gmail.com or yahoo.com are accepted without issue. There were plenty more issues such as button greyed out when asked to select your choice... Phone support is even worse. First, it says the A-Team Company! LOL. Had several dropped calls...

I do not recommend this bank. After several negative experiences, our non-profit organization went in to close the accounts on 2/26 but were told we couldn't. Then, on 2/28, they charged us $15 for some BS monthly fee which we've never been charged before. So now, on 3/6, I'm trying to finish closing the account and have to now contact them to give back our $15 before I can remove the remainder of funds just to close the account. They've charged us over and over for monthly fees despite the account having ample funds in it and a long tenure with the bank. We've had terrible customer service every time we've come in - with the exception of one time when Lisa Gilmore was very helpful - and have had to pull teeth to get even a meeting with banker Mark Devaney who was unprepared and absolutely terrible to deal with. He could have changed our bank account type to avoid the monthly fees but he didn't and he took 2 weeks to even get back to us to set a meeting to discuss the fees. That guy has no business doing customer service or needs a ton of training on how to take care of customers. We will NEVER be recommending Amegy to anyone.

Almost 5 years ago, Eli Perez, Mortgage Loan Officer, helped me to secure my home mortgage, and I would like to say thank you, Mr Perez! He is kind and patient!

I've come to this particular building various times and it's always a 50/50 chance of getting treated very oddly. I was taking care of the last time I had any issues with the ATM, which took thousands of dollars during a deposit but I just came to transfer some money and deposit some checks, and the tellers immediately stared at me from a distance while I was walking in intently until I came over, and then I had the other teller come over and stare at the entire transaction the entire time. Not only was my teller very awkward and wasn't very polite, I just felt like an outsider unnecessarily and for this being the main Amegy bank building, I expect way more customer service than that. I have been banking with Amegy for over 10 years so obviously I expect so much more. Also not to mention the application has not worked which is why I also told them I needed to get all this done, I felt like I had to explain myself because they seem like they didn't want to do their job.
