This is our usual Chinese restaurant that we love going to. The staff is always very friendly, especially Max, who has a wonderful sense of humor and is always very respectful and welcoming. The Hot & Sour soup with the wonton chips is absolutely the best if you’re in the mood for something light. For lunch or dinner, I highly recommend trying the Salt & Pepper Shrimp, which comes in a delicious crispy battered large shrimps with white rice. Another favorite is the Shrimp Curry with a subtle hint of coconut, also served with white rice, although you can order fried rice instead if you prefer. I highly recommend trying the dishes I mentioned — you will not be disappointed!

Their food is probably the best Asian food on mason rd and in the area besides Katy Asian town. The only problem is it smells like sewage as soon as you walk in the door. I’m not sure if it’s a bathroom problem or their grease trap but they really need to address it. The first few times I had their food it was delivered so I knew it was good when I walked into the smell but if I walked in for the first time I doubt I’d eat there. Green Pepper Steak and Fried Rice are delicious.

We've eaten here for a few years, and the food is consistently amazing! Spicy House is the MOST authentic Chinese restaurant in Katy, and although "spicy" is in the name, there are quite a few that aren't if that's more your style. My family recently went out to eat at another Chinese restaurant, and seeing the sugary, thick sauce on literally everything made me realize that I had taken Spicy House for granted and needed to leave a good review. The dishes meant to be served family style and have very generous portions. I always forget to take pictures because the food is so good that it gets eaten before I remember. Some dishes I recommend: sauteed pork with bamboo shoots, hot sauce and boiled fish, lovers beef, and hot spiced beef The service is good, the atmosphere is nice (usually not too busy with ample seating), and I highly recommend this place!!!

Simple appearing Chinese restaurant with great quality food, especially surprising with the variety offered. Food: The food is made consistently well every time I have tried it. I recommend the fried spicy chicken cubes and twice cooked pork. The west lake beef soup is great if you are sick. Service: Almost always consistently good but very rare moments where a server makes you feel like you're inconveniencing them for being there. Thankfully, it's server-specific. Atmosphere: Basic, simple. Nothing impressive about the inside but it is clean and comfortable.

After reading all the great reviews I couldn't decide on what to get. I decided on the ginger dish and my husband got the lamb curry. It was excellent! We also got the steamed pork dumplings and hot and sour soup. We have leftovers for days! Portions are great. Definitely recommend this place.
