We went there to celebrate early Father's Day. The owner greeted us and took care of us the entire evening. We ordered all their mocktails and a couple of drinks. Each one of them tasted great. Their appetizers were good too. For the cauliflower I would have liked it a little more tender but the entire thing looked and tasted good. Their biryanis were delicious. They were not your typical chicken biryani. There wasn't a lot of spices and things happening but it tasted fab. The interiors had paintings that their family had painted and made. The mandala was beautiful. The entire thing was about 2 hours. In that the owners came and spoke to us and about our families. They took great interest in our likes and shared some of their experiences too. It was quite refreshing. Couple of things that we didn't know and think it's worth noting: 1. There is no free parking. However the restaurant validates 2 hours of parking. Wish we knew that. 2. The tab includes 20% gratuity. Our server didn't even talk to us 1 time it was the owners. So wish we had an option to choose how much we wanted to tip her, 3. You don't need anything with the lil gas. They are stuffed and a complete meal. 4. They were able to make smaller portions upon request. They gave us a smaller portion of butter chicken when asked.

If you want to truly explore Indian cuisine, look no further than Verandah Indian Cuisine. The four-course Chef’s Selection was an unforgettable experience, packed with layers of flavor and creativity in every bite. Each course felt like a journey through India’s diverse regions — beautifully presented, perfectly spiced, and bursting with authenticity. From the moment the first dish arrived, the balance of textures and aromas was extraordinary. The progression of flavors evolved naturally from course to course, showing off the chef’s skill and attention to detail. Whether you’re new to Indian food or already a fan, Verandah delivers a fine-dining experience that’s both approachable and deeply satisfying. Highly recommended for anyone craving true culinary artistry

My partner and I had a wonderful Valentine dining experience at Verandah. We thoroughly enjoyed the 7-course "taste of India" menu. The chef personally served all dishes and introduced the dishes to use. Both the food and service were impeccable and very thoughtful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I have to say, it is pricey, but it is worth the price!

Verandah in Houston offers a unique dining experience blending traditional Indian flavors with American influences. The decor features elegant marble floors and wine bottle walls, creating a sophisticated ambiance. There are many signature dishes we liked. Service is somewhat slow, but the overall experience was enjoyable, making it a worthy destination for those seeking innovative Indian cuisine. The restaurant’s fusion approach and presentation elevate it beyond typical offerings, earning a solid recommendation for adventurous diners. Will definitely come again.

Went to Verandah for dinner around 7pm. The restaurant was easy to find and looked very inviting from the outside. Once in, it didn’t disappoint- they have a fairly large space with plenty of comfortable seating. We were seated immediately and realized it wasn’t too busy. Apparently it was a relatively slow evening, which was great for us because we got excellent service and attention. The menu is interesting with a variety of traditional dishes and some unique ones. We got drinks (interesting cocktail menu!) and appetizers. The drinks were very good and the appetizers were excellent. For the main course we got a dal, sabzi and a variety of breads. All the dishes were excellent and we enjoyed our meal. I wouldn’t say it was exceptional or the best we have ever had, but I would definitely say it was very good and I would recommend it as a good Indian restaurant. Got a couple of desserts to finish up and we have a good evening! Strongly recommend this place if you are in the vicinity.
