I came here with my friend after a Plus-one event. It was late at night and we were looking for a sweet treat. We ordered the Tiramisu Dream and Bischoff latte. The Tiramisu latte tasted nice but the syrup was too overpowering and I had a hard time liking the drink due to that. Perhaps the espresso shots also give it a bitter aftertaste which I did not particularly enjoy. I tried the Bischoff latte and found that to be much better but still lacking flavor. I will say both tasted rich and the price is reasonable. The cafe itself is much smaller than it looks in pictures and is unable to handle large crowds so we left briefly after sitting for a few minutes. The interior design is pleasing and beautiful. Overall, we both enjoyed our drinks and I appreciated our time at Taj. Edit: I came back and tried the plain burnt cheesecake. It was delicious and heavenly. In addition, the coffee was amazing and rich in flavor this time. Highly recommend.

Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone in Houston or visiting the area! Atmosphere is great, the decor is beautiful and it feels like you’re transported to another place. The various sweets and drink options all looked amazing and made it hard to narrow down what to get. We received a warm welcome and the man who helped us gave recommendations and helped us pick stuff suited to our taste. The presentation of everything was beautiful and the service was great. Overall great place to go for coffee, a sweet treat, and friendly faces! Thank you for a great experience. I will be back for sure!

This place is pure joy! It’s welcoming. The food, drinks and sweets are absolutely delicious. The service is quick and so kind. Try the mint tea, the chocolate and pistachio oush bolbol, adani tea and the coconut babousa. You will not regret it! I used to live in the Middle East and have been wanting to pick my Arabic back up and practice. Muhammad allows me to practice with him when I come in with no shame. It’s like having a small piece of the Arab world back here in the states. As someone not of the Muslim faith, I never feel uncomfortable here and there is always a diverse mix of people present. They cater to everyone exceptionally. I can work here comfortably and love to come here for both long working sessions alone and quick chats with friends or family. I am bringing everyone I know for the quality of food and service alone. There is easy parking, vegetarian options and the prices for everything is extremely reasonable. Come visit soon!

What a fantastic experience! Taj A Sweet Cafe is a true gem in Houston. The atmosphere is incredibly beautiful, elegant, and has a wonderfully peaceful vibe. We were warmly welcomed by the entire team, who were super attentive—they took the time to explain the history and ingredients of the sweets and even offered us a complimentary tasting. We loved the quality so much that we actually bought out their entire stock of the Nutella pastry! We also tried the falafel, and it was absolutely flawless and flavorful. Top-notch service, amazing food, and a welcoming environment. This is officially a must-visit spot in the city!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As someone who is extremely particular about coffee and usually a “make it at home” type of person… Taj Café pleasantly surprised me in the best way possible. The strawberry matcha was genuinely one of the best matchas I’ve had in Houston so far. Perfectly balanced, flavorful, and beautifully made. I also tried the lavender matcha, blueberry cheesecake, falafel sandwich, and sparkling water, and honestly, everything was delicious. Beyond the food and drinks, the space itself is stunning. Every detail feels intentional, from the lighting fixtures to the comfortable seating. My friend and I sat in this gorgeous sofa nook built directly into the wall, and the entire atmosphere made you feel oddly regal… like you should be discussing poetry or plotting a beautiful life over tea. ✨ The café was spotless, calm, and thoughtfully designed. They also serve traditional Turkish coffee in beautiful authentic-style serving ware, which added such a special touch. Huge bonus: they’re open until midnight, which makes this an amazing spot to study, work, catch up with friends, or just romanticize your evening a little. Really happy Taj Café is in the neighborhood, and I can’t wait to watch them absolutely thrive. I’ll definitely be back.
